Post What did you really pay...place to post values

Ok ..so I am in the process of figuring this whole GL purchase thing...and i'm sure a lot of people who are on here that are thinking of the purchase also have wondered this. Soooo as to help increase the MB family

Please post:

1. Price payed versus invoice (You can include package/options details if you like etc.)

2. Price payed after tax, registration, tags etc. (basically out the door price)

3. Was it financed or leased

4. Downpayment amount (since this affects APR when financed)

4. What APR was acheived when you financed and who you financed through(this makes a big difference with price over time..and i'm really checking to see what's the lowest people got)

THANKS FOR REPLIES IN ADVANCE !!!!

A lot of this is personal and really irrelevant and I'm not quite sure how my purchase details (lease, finance, APR) will increase the MB family but here goes....

1.
MSRP: 71,645
INVOICE: 67,451
PAID: 68,451
See my invoice here

2. every city, county, state is going to be diffferent. Besides I don't remember all the fees. Tax is 5% where I live. Tag was around $1400.

3.,4. & 5. ??

Well ..I didn't want people to feel bad or give up info they weren't comfortable with ...it was really just a question to see what finance rates and discounts of MSRP people were getting out there from MB etc. I know some people are proud etc of the deals they made. Plus i'm in a place where there is only 1 MB dealer (and 1 Acura dealer for that matter) within 100 miles ...so that sucks ..and I am trying to figure out what people are getting since it's not like i can go back and forth between two dealers etc. if this 1 dealer is bad compared to what others are getting I might have to consider going out of state or something.

Thanks though for the posting ...sorry it if sound like it's too personal ... but I am sure a lot of people who are here and haven't purchased a GL yet wonder the same thing and are just wary of bringing up a topic like this ...but hey if one post on here saves me money and I buy a GL then it was worth it right ..hope the posts will help others also hence increase the MB family ..see

Here's a real deal from a dealer in Sarasota:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...l=&cardist=884

Who the he!! does this dealer think would pay $14K over MSRP?

A very general real world purchase price can be calculated by taking MSRP X .93, then add or subtract up to about $500 to that figure. Many people are getting below invoice in market areas that are saturated with dealers & inventory. I was quoted $5K off of a $64,275 sticker without any haggleing.

Paid $1500 over invoice incl. all fees but not taxes. I did not negotiate at all. That was the offer, they had the GL I wanted I drove it, looked it over and picked it up the next day.

Just for some new posters reading this thread, the price for a ordered GL320CDI will not be getting the same discount as the large inventory of GL450's on dealers lots right now. With very limited allocations available on the diesel I doubt many dealers will be heavily discounting a diesel model, if at all.

There are exceptions of which AutoSaurus is one and I am the other (that I know of) that have gotten $500 to $1000 over invoice for the diesel. AS had taken delivery and I have a delivery date of mid-May with an April 26th build.

Thanks people for all the info so far ..i'm thinking I might have no choice but to drive about 200 (or more) miles away to where there are 4 MB dealers within 15 miles of each other...I guess if I go there and go from dealer to dealer etc. i'll get a better price... 1 dealer and he knows there's no one else close by makes me a little wary.

Mine was a 68900 window sticker car and I paid invoice which is 64XXX. We leased it so APR is not really applicable but a credit union would be your best source for low rates.

Hey, nice to see you over here. I haven't posted on SB for quite some time but I have been lurking.

Now back to the question. I bought my PE in Aug when they were scarce so I ended up paying $3k over MSRP. Not sure how much it was exactly but I believe it was just north of $76-78k + T&L. Obviously I got bent over at the dealership but at least I got 4.9% financing from my credit union.
