Jack, does seeing it make you want to reconsider... Maybe just a little bit?

So far we are extremely happy with our GL... Not a single item on the punch list upon delivery!

Magnificant car - spoke to Greg per your recommendations. Great guy. Am looking for a car with less on it. Dont you think the built in Espresso maker is a little over the top Jack?

No regrets Danno...just didn't work out for me in more ways than one. If I didn't have the S to fall back on then there would be some major regrets.

Glad your's is trouble free and stays that way.

Glad you spoke with Greg...he really is a great guy!

It really is a loaded GL diesel and anyone who doesn't want to wait can have a beauty real quick.

If it had RSE, I would have been VERY SERIOUSLY tempted. So, thanks, again Jack for keeping me on the "straight"

I just bought my GL from Schumacher in Scottsdale last Monday... (Ordered it in December). My SR was also named George.

I believe that there are two Georges at Schumacher.

George Toly was my SR... Probably one of the most professional Vehicle Sales Reps I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with...

Also there is George Limbers... I don't know him very well but I have met him during one of the several trips I made to the dealership to check the status of my order.

I think you will be pleased with Schumacher.

I went to Phoenix Motor Company, through Costco. I had been at Schumacher/Mercedes Benz of Scottsdale and originally talked to Eric Jahn, and then talked to Fred Iocco who told me that all 2007 diesels were Bluetec. I don't like salespeople who lie (or who are so incompetent as to not know their product, especially when they have so few). Now, at Phoenix Motor Company, another person had a different Costco salesperson and he was a major jerk. So, six on one hand ... eh?

A great many ( in all automobile lines ) are just that..............I have always felt that I knew more about the product than nearly all sales people I have dealt with.......the one exception was a guy at Kerbecks when I bought my 05 Corvette......he knew his stuff!

Look, if you're talking Ford or Chevy, they have dozens of models and you might not know the specifics of each one. If you're selling Toyotas, they've increased the number of models as well so model-to-model differences might require you to look something up. But when your newest, biggest technology is in a single one of four models (there are currently four diesels being sold in the US) and you tell a customer that this new technology is in all the models, it sounds a hell of a lot more like trying to sell someone based on false information than incompetence! It's like saying, "Oh, no, all the Camrys are hybrids." It's just so far off base it stretches credibility that a salesperson wouldn't know that.

Oddly enough it doesn't really punch list what the truck does and does not have. Can you provide such?

He ordered everything but RSE and Off road package. Can't get Off road on 320 and I am sure NJ had a reason for not ordering RSE.

Correct nish plus no trailer hitch (which can be dealer added.) The RSE would never be used and I preferred the Distronic...the RSE can be added also aftermarket but Distronic cannot be.

That's a nicely outfitted GL320 CDI. I wish Ray Catena had one in the same fashion but I definitely need the RSE...

Well, it's gone

I called Greg (still just a very nice guy) because my GL's approaching 7500 miles, and unfortunately for me (or perhaps fortunately?) NJ's GL is sold. It's about the only way I would get rid of mine now, is to have his available to me. But that's fine - time to trick mine out!

Nice

That was a great choice NJ. I only wish I had ordered mine with a hitch. getting an RSE is well worth since I have 2 little kids.

Too bad you missed out on "my" GL. It would have been nice if someone on the board had purchased it.

Thanks...I always figured if I need the RSE later it could be added.

You have a great package and know you are enjoying it.
