For those of you who don't know the $400+ dollars you guys were quoted at Venetian are for suites. Not quite sure what actual dates you guys are planning on (I quickly read through posts)the RIO is an all suite hotel (about 800 sq ft) usually lower than venetian??? I know there's a "PACK EXPO LAS VEGAS SPONSORED BY PACKAGING MACHINERY MANUFACTURERS INSTITUTE" convention w/ 30,000 attendees for the 15th - 17th of OCT. It's based @ the las vegas Hilton but these are the type of things that drive the rates up all across town.

Also there's a car wash service, it runs about $18.00 for the basic service, I'm willing to contact them to see if they can arrange something under a group rate.

So NJ, let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Thanks 03....that sounds pretty good to me. Perhaps oknish, Jen or Steve could get a count on the out of towner's who need a room and see if they have the 10 minimum necessary.

There you go guys (and gals)...a great offer.

03 - THANK you so much for your generous offer of help. Right now it looks like we are only going to need 3 or maybe 4 rooms. Some others might join but haven't confirmed yet and even then I doubt we will need 10 rooms. Can anything be done for that small a number?

We are looking to check in on 10/26 and check out on 10/28.

Again, many thanks for the gracious offer of help. You should come and join us when we are in Vegas. Our GLs are well trained and will behave with a C amongst them

Have a great time in Hawaii!

So, for those folks that haven't let me know already, but are thinking they would like to join in the fun at our Vegas meet/greet party, can you let me know if you'd like to join the group for dinner by next Tuesday (8/28) evening.

The current list is:
Nevada Jack = 1

Oknish = 4
StevethePilot = 2
Stumblefoot = 1

You can always cancel later if your plans change, so if you're interested, it's best to get your name on the list now.

My family and I are preparing to go camping for a few days, so I'll check back in late Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks everyone! This is going to be a lot of fun!
Stumblefoot,

Put me down for 1. I will do my best to make it. My son has football practice on Friday but hopefully it will be over in time for the dinner.

Thanks,

Jeff

I am a newbie to this forum but I would love to join you all. It seems like a fun group. We are supposed to get our white exterior black interior delivered around October 25th in SoCal. We are Nevada residents (Tahoe) so we were planning on taking the car to Vegas that weekend to register it. If there is room for dinner (and our SUV comes in on time), I would love to reserve dinner for my wife and I. FYI- We will most likely stay at the Westin on points! Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on soon-to-be-in-your-hands 550.

We'd be delighted if you can join us for dinner on Fri. I am not sure if you have seen all the details but we will going for a scenic drive and some group pictures of GLs on Saturday and you should join that too. We are all going to be on our best behaviors Well, except for Nevada Jack since he is our Patron Saint and does what he wants to

BTW, I am in LA so if you need any help while here don't hesitate to let me know. Who are you buying the 550 from?

Thank you for the hospitality and yes we would like to join the Saturday festivities as well; it sounds like FUN. I actually won a local qualifier for MB golf tournament recently through Walter's MB in Riverside. They gave me a great deal on the new vehicle. I had a slight advantage in the tourney as it was played at my country club and they are flying my wife and I to Kaanapali for the nationals in January. 5 days on MB (airfare, room, meals, etc.) and we get to attend all the VIP events. I'm definitley looking forward to my wife's GL550 more than the Hawaii trip though.

Welcome to the forum & even if your 550 doesn't come in on time, feel free to join us in Vegas. It'll be a lot of fun and a chance to get to put some faces with names.

Now that would be quite a place to hold our next meet/greet event.

Do you pay for any of your vacations? Just wishful thinking on my part.

Was that Spanish? I thought it was Eye-Talian! (Not that I know anything in Italian, it could be Esperanto or Tagalog for all I know.)

You'll have to see if the new Ferry is running and what that's like. Personally, I love the idea of not having to fly between the islands, but only three trips there isn't enough to form a solid opinion!

I look forward to meeting and greeting, especially the new members.

Well, if you guys want a mobile car wash at the casino roof top, I can arrange that with one of my patients.
Any activities for Sunday morning? Valley of Fire, Mount Charleston, Lake Mead, light off-roading thru Mormon Pass (old trail that connects the 95 and 15 freeways north of LV)

Wait until you see what Nevada Jack is bringing to the meet/greet.

No, no, no... it's not cabbage soup.

Hint... leave your your point-and-shoot at home.

I think having cars washed on casino top is a good idea but it might take them a while to do 6 or 8 cars we will have. But, if others agree, I am all for it.

I am up for Sunday AM stuff too just someone else decide what to do.

I don't know if the Casino will allow that to take place on their parking garage roof area. As it is Security may tell us to either park or leave...setting up a car wash will definitely not sit well with them.

Someone better bring a camera, otherwise I will not be in any of the pictures. Hummm...maybe no other cameras is a good idea after all...:-)

Good point, NJ. Didn't think of that. I would say let's scratch the mobile wash idea but THANKS to Beto for thinking of it.

I'm not that good of a golfer; I just had a good day. I am up for Kaanapali anytime but shipping our 550s will take time and $ We usually take about 1-2 vacations a month with our 2 & 4 year old and yes we almost always have to pay for them or use points.
