Thinking about modding my gl 450

I've been thinking about doing some mods to my gl 450. My gl450 is fully loaded and has the skid plates, running boards on the outside already. I'm getting tints on the front window to even up with the rear windows.

What do you guys think about smoking out my tailights? SHould i do the red or clear Part? Any ideas From anyone?

Try doing a Photoshop of the smoked tail lights first. Personally, I'd go for smoking the clear part like on the W163 Special Edition models or the new W211 Sport models.

I see you live in LA. Just be careful with tinting the front windows; it is illegal in CA. I got a ticket for that in the early 1990's.

I prefer the clear tail lights vs. the smoked ones, but I'm not sure how that would look on a GL. To me, the GL is understated elegance as opposed to an Escalade which kind of screams "look at me". Just my opinion and no offense to any Escalade owners.

I thought MB didn't sale cars to tasteless people.... JOKE!!!
I couldn't care less what you do with your car. Get as much chrome as you can, and then some.
I believe you can tint the fronts to 15% in CA.
Check these out for the rear

What kind of wheels you are getting?

thanks for the ideas fellaz, and by the way I did own a escalade b4 my GL and I don't think there was anything wrong with it execpt that it was over populated and attracted a lot of cops. anyways, I did like that gl sign in the previous post but it would bring down the class of the car. I'm not tryying to modd my car in a ghetto way. I'm just tring to add a touch to it.
-thanks for the advice again.

Have you considered spinners on the wheels?

How does talk about smoking/tinting a part of the tail lights lead to ghetto mods?

I don't see anything wrong with modding your vehicle anyway you like it. If I was younger I'll get the Svarosky (sp?) crystal badges for the rear, they rock.
What wheels you are getting? ICE? I want a big screen in the middle for the rear passengers.
