Now that I got the inverter, I would like to see a few shots of how you have setup the xbox. I mean I know how it is wired and all but I am not too sure where to put the hardware itself. Anyone ?

thats gonna be tough. Only place I could see would be under the front seats. Absolutely no room under the 2nd row.

Id be curious too.

Game Systems

Just my 2 cents... Not sure I would place an XBOX in a vehicle unless I could provide it with proper airflow. They run pretty hot and are not very mobile...meaning their drives are not set up to take the bounces a vehicle will give it. Plus they are rather large so there isn't really any room besides the rear storage... I let my kids hook up the old GameCube as it is much smaller and can sit on the floor or on the hump in the middle row. No one plays that system in the house anymore since we have a Wii and 360 - so it is perfect for a long trip in the back of the GL when they tire of movies. One could also hook up Nintendo DS's to each of the headrest screens...

Good luck!

Well

If this xbox burns down I would hardly care. Its an older machine . On top of that it is refurbished.

This is the invertor I use rated 400W

i would think

I would think so. I tested many items befor hooking up the console. A laptop, a radio clock, cell phone charger, a 100W light bulb didn't see any issues.
I will give it a try placing under passanger seats. If it causes any issues, I will only use it when I am up for a long haul. Another funny part was that a few of the DVDs which did not work on RSE, did work on xbox.
