I want to lease one with off road package. MB has special leasing offer now for GL450. Unfortunatley, my dealer (at Southern California) unable to find one with off road package. Ininitally, I was not sure if he told me the true, but after I checked several dealers' online inventory lists, I wasn't able to find any. Any suggestion?

Just tell your dealer to find a "changeable" unit (B3 status) in his pipeline and add option code 334.

I'm pretty sure that a truck with a January production date is still changeable. Which means that you could have it at the latest in late January or Early February.

The GL450 comes standard with 4-MATIC 4-wheel drive, 4-Wheel electronic traction system, Downhill speed regulation, Off-road program et.al.
Do you really need the differential locks?

Not really. I just want the Dynamic damping so that I can change the ride setting between sport and comfort. My wife probable will like the soft ride with the standard, but I most likely will prefer the sport setting, and many people who have the off road package seem to prefer the sport setting. It will be nice to have this option.
Order one will not be my option, because the special lease offer for GL450 may not be avalible few months later.

You may have to visit dealer lot, jh. Many cars won't show up in an inventory search. Also, if you are in SoCal, try fleetrates.com. Ask for Maily. She was very helpful to me when I was looking.

Thanks for the reply. I got one in Okaland yesterday. Had to fly there to pick it up, and dealer will not low the price to what my local dealer can offer which was $2k below invoice. I will see if this ORP really worth the extra effort and money.
By the way, the whole west coast only has 2 with this package. The one you mention probably is the other one.

If the West coast is MB's biggest market and only 2 GL's have ORP, then I think it won't be very long before ORP is eliminated completely. Can you say MY'09?
