What do you think of lease Lease deal?

08 GL 450
-P1 option
-Rear dual DVD entertainment
-19" wheel package
-Ipod Intergration
-Trailor hitch

MSRP - $67,450.00
33 mo
$2500 down
10 K miles per year
$799 out the door (So Cal 8% Tax included)
no trade in
Credit is over 700

It sounds like a super great deal!

What would you do -

I have a Lexus suv with 7 remaining payments at $700 per month - I do not want to roll the remaining payments into the new lease - I do not know if I can get this type of deal in 4 to 5 months - so I was thinking of just getting the GL at this deal and making two car payments for the next 7 months (ouch)! do you think this type of deal will be available in a few months?

Thanks in advance for everybodys help.

I've put 5600 miles on mine in the first 60 days, lol...

that wouldn't work for me.

pay out $26,500 to rent for almost 3 years. Sounds good to me.

the way the market is heading, i think there will still be deals to be made in 6-7months. however, it's a lease where residuals and money factors tend to get worse as the model year ages. 2009 models should hit aug-sept 2008. i think it would be safe to wait at least another 3 months. it's a fantastic car though and life is short.

That's similar to the deal I did a couple months ago. It's a solid offer. But you are going to lose nearly $5K on the Lexus just having it sit in your driveway. Costs should not go up that much - even with the residuals, etc. I would keep watching this site and lease sites for a few months before pulling the trigger. That being said - the GL is a AWESOME choice!

If the lease deal is through MB, then they will have more of these deals on 450.. they do change their lease terms every month or so but from my experience they have been offering really enticing lease terms on 450s as these are not seeling as well as the 320s or 550s. So I would guess they will have good lease terms all thru the year. Now as the model year progresses they might reduce the residual (which will impact payments) but then you should be able to get higher discounts too.

I agree with this sentiment based on my chats with our rep.

We have <5 months left on the lease of our LX and when I spoke to him, he said that MBF has the programs on the 450s and always will - the number will adjust minutely month to month, but nothing major as this is considered the volume model of the line; nothing even comes close for the 320 and the 550 (bummer!).

Not sure if regional differences exist but I'm in the northeast metro NY/NJ market and my dealer is in NJ.

Thank you everybody for the info - I was able to get a coworker to take over the current lease that I have (I gave it to her at 1/2 the payment) and I picked up the new GL last night. I love it. Black on Black with all the goodies I wanted. I probably could have waited and saved a few $'s on my cuurent car, but getting half of it was enough to puch me over the edge. Thanks again everybody - I stopped over at Mercedes of Laguna Niguel to see if they were interested in beating the offer from Fletcher and they thought I was making up the numbers and told me that Fletcher Jones was playing with me and that I would never get that pricing ($2000 below invoice). So I walked out and drove over to Fletcher and picked up the car at the same deal I was offered (the Laguna Niguel sales rep called me this morning to follow up and he was shocked I bought it at that deal) anyway - thanks guys and girls - Love the new GL

I was able to get my 320 on the same terms as the 450 lease offer...33 months, very low MF, etc.

If I am not mistaking, isn't your MF .00670 or something? If that is the case, you are getting ripped off. The 33 month special that MB has been running for a while now, has an MF of .00200. Unless I calculated the MF wrong?? What is your capitalized cost? is the $2500 down going towards registration fees and first month payment?

The MF was .00180
The cap cost was $61,900
33 mo
2500 down
799.00 per month including tax ($741.00 without tax)
10k per year
33 mo

I don't know if I got ripped of
The national lease special is as follows

msrp $63,400
$5411 down plus fees
33 months
10k per year
$699 plus tax = $753.00

Compared to my deal

Msrp $67,750 ($4350 more)
$2500 down (no fees) ($3330 less)
$753.00 ($54 more per month)

$4350 + $3330 = $7680 savings up front
$54.00 per month x 33 months = $1782 more in total monthly payments made

$7680 - $1782 = $5898 better than the national mercedes lease special!

That sounds pretty good to me.

maybe I am missing something - Let me know if you agree.

Thanks all pictures coming soon

I did the calculation, that is right on then, my bad. Ic that you got it for 1400 over invoice or so, not bad. When you say "no fees" how did you avoid paying registration, taxes, acquisition fee and first month payment?

Based on your numbers, it seems you got a good deal.. I think the dealer charged you approx $ 425 in acquisiting fee or something which he then added to your cap cost.

You got 8% discount from MSRP.. I think that is a good deal given that the moneyfactor of .00180 equates to 4.3 % APR. Congratulations!!

ubrs -

I apologize - there were the regular fees
-$467 CA registration
-$795 acuisition fee
-$8.75 tire tax
-$88.01 tax
-$799 first months payment
-$343 cap cost reduction

I thought MSRP on this specific car was

$51,615 CAR
$5952 P1
$2483 REAR ENTERTAINMENT
$1414 19" WHEEL PACKAGE
$474 TRAILOR HITCH
$349 IPOD INTERGRATION

$62,287

MY COST -

$61,900 + $342.24 cap cost reduction from down payment

$62,242.24 = $44.76 below invoice

I guess you are right - I know the dealers are getting about $2000 hold back money on the current lease special.

makes sense - so it was an O.K. deal not great.

Thanks for the help ubrs
