Rear Screen Entertainment - a 'New' Option to consider
I have been looking for a Rear Screen Entertainment solution for my new GL.
I have considered the MB OEM solution as well as the usual Vizualogic, Rosen and Myron Davis solutions.
I have today come accross a new option and wondered had anybody else seen this one?
Eurologics have a solution for vehicles with Active Headrests.
Have you seen this one?
What did you think of it?
Looking at the pics - what are your thoughts?

Those look pretty cool! I have MB OEM and love them. But if I didn't have the factory installed system, then that option you posted I would definitely be interested in!

Those are pretty slick, add me to the list of folks who like 'em. Provided, of course, they actually look as nice when they're installed, and the quality is there not only in the installation but the electronics they've chosen.

Local fitter
It turns out that my local fitter (ICEMAN) who is really well regarded, one of the best in the country, is an authorised installer for this kit.
I had a chat with him, and while he has not fitted this particular installation before, he swears by the quality of this supplier. Both cosmetically and technically. The leather comes from the same supplier as MB. Apparently its a 100% match.
He quoted me £1400 fitted, including a 10 disk DVD changer and a slimline PS2....
That actually sounds like good value.
Another important thing is its an non-destructive install, so I can move it from car to car, or remove it and sell it on ebay ;-)
I'm liking this kit more and more.

I just purchased a Rosen AV7500 complete kit, AV-MB2130-B04-S1 from a Rosen dealer on eBay. I got the kit yesterday and installed it myself in 5 hours. I am very **** about doing things right and I am an average mechanic so a professional may do it a bit faster. The kit was brand new in the box shipped directly from Rosen in CA.
It cost $1,095.00, which included over-night shipping (extra $50.00) because I wanted to install it before a weekend trip with the kids. The kit and materials are top quality in that they matched my interior perfectly (charcoal MB-Tex with silver stitching) and the instruction manual is very thorough. In my opinion, this is a great product for the price.

How would it be if you had to remove it again, would there be any vissible sign that it had been fitted?
ps: Here is a hack for region-free for the Rozen unit, just in case you like to use imported DVDs.

Did you have to make any vehicle modifications?
How would it be if you had to remove it again, would there be any visible sign that it had been fitted?
No, other than a small slit which you cannot see in the carpet under the drivers seat to route the wires through. I did not have to do this on the passenger side. If I would have to remove the monitors from the back of the front seats I would only need to reverse the installation and the headrest posts would just snap back in. Hope this helps.

I have installed several of their kits in the past and have never been pleased with the setup of their kits...however - as far as LOOKS go - they do look good.

it is not a 100% match and they don't use the same leather suplier as MB - HOWEVER - they do supply some RES solutions to mercedes (and other car manufacturers) and their products usually LOOK good...their choice of equipment is usually pretty cheap and their knowledge of usable connectors and actual installation ease is disappointing.
