iPod integration kit compatible with any other MP3 players?
I don't own an iPod, so wondering if I absolutely need to buy one to use the iPod integration kit of if there are any other mp3 players that would be compatible. Thanks in advance.

In fact, when I ordered mine, I had the choice of the Ipod kit/interface OR the standard MP3 aux jack in the glove box. Couldn't have both!

So I can use a Sandisk MP3 player with the aux input connector in my glove? I just didn't know whether iPods had different connection ports compared to other MP3 players.

I think all you need is a cable that will have two "male" ends, plugged in to the "headphone" jack of your Sandisk MP3 player. However, you still have to control it from the actual player. It basically turns the COMAND system into a great big set of headphones. (I know, I know, not that it's much better than that to start with.)

I don't understand where I would plug in the male/male headphone jack.

This thing might work for you...
http://www.cablejive.com/universal-dock-converter
The reason I say might is that it does not work for all integration kits... I don't know who makes the GL class integration kit, so its hard to tell if it will work until you plug it in.
From the company's web page:
Listen to non-iPod audio: This is rare, but on some systems the Universal Dock Converter will let you bypass the need for an attached iPod/iPhone and play audio from another source. Examples include the harman/kardon Go+Play, Enfig auto interfaces, and Logjam auto interfaces.

Cablejive has been great. I used cablejive as an extension cable and to make my iphone charge. (the current cable only charges the ipod - not the iphone). BTW who's brilliant idea was it to put all of this in the glove box and not the center console???
