Sale: Video-In-Motion interface for ML/GL/R Class
Video In Motion / DVD Unlock Sale!
Midcity Engineering is running a special promotion on video/DVD unlock interface modules for 09/10 ML, GL, or R Class. (This would be if you have the comand that plays DVD's). The VIM interface is a plug-and-play unit that connects behind the comand radio and allows the passenger to view video aux or DVD source while the vehicle is in motion. The interface is activated and deactivated by pressing a steering wheel button. It comes in a machined aluminum case and uses factory connectors so there is no cutting wires. can be removed easily for lease vehicles. Also it made in the USA!
Video of the VIM in action:

Normally $400.... MBworld member price: $325.00
Pricing is good thru the end of september...
If you have any questions, feel free to call our offices at 312.421.1114 or email us at sales@midcityengineering.com

Ok, got the part but I am stuck at step 1!
How do you pry that center console plate off? I can feel a slot at the corner. Do I need to use something to push the retainer in and slide out the console plate at the same time? Please help!
Finally got it. Definitely not as easy to open that center console as the video shown. Even after the corners are pryed, still hard to remove the center plate out. After that pretty straightforward.

Ok, got everything working so far and succesfully put back in.
However, now i remember about a thread in perhaps the c-class forum about taping the antenna against the back wall or something? Is this something I need to do with the GL or is it a space issue with the c-class? Will there be an effect on GPS performance if I don't?

The ML/GL/R by comparison are a dream... lots of room all around the back of the command and no need to interrupt GPS.

Not really the same thing and I would pay an extra $200 for the OEM integration and sterring wheel controls. I can't read Japanese so I really would not know what I was getting for that 100 dollar device you link to.

JDM unit allows you to use all OEM switch gear as normal and will allow NAVI entries while the car is in motion plus they have a optional A/V input so you can output video to rear monitors and input video to the dash monitor.

so this unit allows you your navigation to work while the video in motion is active? i had a video in motion (another brand) and the navigation was deactivated while the video in motion is active. can you clarify?
