Im looking for GL 550
Prices are all over the map. There aren't that many 09's out there, so there isn't much incentive to be aggressive. But wait around and you'll find a good deal. I got my 2009 550 with 20k miles for 66k in January. It was not certified, but I wasn't that interested in paying extra for a CPO vehicle.
Good luck.

On autotrader, there are some 2009's for 67-69k. One is in Illinois and one in Dallas.
Not sure what color you want, but I'd go for this one over the one on ebay:

Yeah I saw that car on autotrader.com but I still prefer to buy car at local dealer . Thanks

For me personally, if I can get a 2009 with 20-30k miles on it for 65-66k, I'd go for that regardless of where its at. What better way to get acquainted with your new ride than to drive cross country with it?

The last 3 or 4 cars I've purchased have been outside my local market. And I still get treated exactly the same when I go to the dealer. Still get loaner cars and all.
Car buying is very personal. You have to be happy with your decision. Good luck with it!

But on these GL's saving $20k on almost 3 year old car with 30k miles is not enough financial incentive. They definitely hold better than S class.
If you can stretch to a 2010 for low 80's you get all the new goodies and fairly low depreciation for luxury vehicle

I saw the white one in AB. Its nice, but I'd at least make an offer on the black 2009 in Dallas. Its only 550 miles away and that color combo is sharp!! I bet you could get it for 64ish. That's only 3k more for a 2009 with fewer miles and a longer remaining factory warranty.
Yes, MB nav is not that great, but the COMAND on the 2009 is much better than the 2008 all around.
Sewell in Dallas is easy to work with. There is much more competition in Dallas, so they are willing to work with you. If that's the only one in NM, they are less inclined to work with you.
Quick southwest flight to Dallas, sign the paperwork and drive it back home. Done.

Good luck with your purchase.

But anyway, if you can wait 3-4 months, I think you could get MUCH better deal. In July, 2011 is about to be out, 2010 would be on sale... Given the economy, I think there would be another big sale like last year.
Just as a comparison, I purchased a CPO well-equipped '08 320 June/July last year during $10K off MSRP sale for all GL's and got a killer deal because brand new well-equipped '09 320 could be had for low 60's without any negotiation ($72K MSRP). I think if I sell the car right now, I may not lose much since the current asking price for '08 320 is still (way) above my purchase price

A good rule of thumb is never fall for one specific car. There's plenty of GL's out there and more every day. Don't be afraid to buy out of state b/c it seems like you only dealer wants to hold everyone hostage. Law of supply and demand is NOT in your favor unless you broaden your search. IMO it would be worth it for you to spend a couple hundred bucks on a flight to save THOUSANDS on the price.

You can get all 3 row carpet mats with cargo mat for $225 and the cargo basket for $90 so total is $315. The all weather mats cost about $125 total, so the cost of the warranty is $2285 per your post. Considering the cost of maintenence, that's not too bad of deal.
