I am finalizing a deal now on a GL350. USAA discount give me $6500 off MSRP approx.

Keep working! But I do hear that the diesel engines are in short supply.

Please take some posts with a grain of salt. Look at this link, the day it was posted, etc. You will find a lot of inconsistencies. You have to STFF to get to the bottom of things. HTH

It was in Barrie, ON. In Maple dealership one salesman told me that he will give us only $1000 and he told us that he had to call MB president to get it personally for us... What a BS... so we left and went to Barrie... $4500 was the bottom line in Toronto and around I tried to squeeze 5K but it did not work...

Maybe you should reread the thread. Why is it that US personal always presumes that what applies to them applies to ROW.

And please don't tell us that is MI (based on your post) at work. MBW knows better.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
This piece of advice holds true for all over the world:
If your dealer won't deal, go somewhere else. You should not ever pay MSRP.

car cost canada shows that the dealer will be making at least $7000 as a profit.

I am trading in my 2003 ML350 with 84000kms...only getting CAD$9000 with the dealer.

When I asked how the make up price for trading... they said that they call car wholesales and whatever they give you this is a price... What a rip off. Always try to sell it privately... I had Jetta TDI 2006 last year they were for 24K at dealership they offered me 12K as a trade in for Tuareg (I bought it for $38K in 2007 not bad offer for 2 year old car...)
For GL - i found that going below $4500 discount is impossible...

GL 320cdi, Chevrolet Avalanchero, GLE 350 (on order)
MB Canada tried to go to a Value Pricing (Saturn) model a few years ago, there is still some hangover from that.

Secondly, there is a much thinner market for cars like ours up here, and financing standards much higher. Further, there is a limited number of vehicles each dealer can access in a year. Hardly any chance to make it up on volume like they do in the States. When it comes to Diesels, discounts are hard to find as demand outsrtips supply on many cars (Golf, Jetta, ML-GL). You have to do the best you can, knowing all of that.

Hi Salesh,

I am also considering buying a 2010 GL350 in Vancouver area, could you send me the car cost Canada report on this vehicle?
Thanks in advance.
