How to check AdBlue level?

You can't see anything by taking the cap off. I've tried shining a flashlight in and I still couldn't tell. There was a post in another forum that said you could check the level on your dash display but I haven't figured that out yet. So far, it appears that it uses about 5 gallons per 10,000 miles. Mine used a little less on the first fill up and I had several hours of idling time but no towing.

Got the "AdBlue low" light at about 14k, and put 5 gallons in at the time. During 20k service, dealer put in about 2 gallons of Adblue that I supplied, then said they weren't comfortable pouring in any more without using their own 1/2-gal bottles. I'd like to keep the tank near-full to avoid any excess crystallization of the solution, but can't do so without being able to check the level. If unable to check the level, then I'll have to just throw in 5-gal every time the "low Adblue" light comes on.
And I did try the cap-off thing...the fill neck is so narrow that there's no real way to tell how full the tank is.
If anyone comes across the post on how to check the level, please post the link.

Interesting, so why then does MB recommend an AdBlue flush every 20k? Didn't have ours done as our dealer insisted it wasn't necessary, and I didn't feel like arguing to spend more $$$.
If that is the case, and there is no reason to flush and/or keep the tank near-full, then I'll just stick with adding 5 gallons every time the "AdBlue low" light comes on.
But I imagine there has to be a way to check the level...either visual or electronic.
