Cost of 20,000 service + loaner car ?
Am I being screwed?
$450 for 20,000 mile service + $146 for AdBlu flush & fill
Also no free loaner car??
I bought the truck new at this dealer.
"Thank you for your service request! I have you on the books for Monday the 22nd, 8:30 a.m. as you requested. Please check in with Lisa ... of the Yellow Team as you did last time at our Pike St. location. In answer to your question about pricing, the 20K mile service is $449.95 (the AdBlu flush/filter is an additional $146.00, which you will not be needing at this time).
I understand that you are asking for a loaner vehicle with your maintenance service. Unfortunately, for these types of normal services I only have the shuttle as an option, as our loaner vehicles are reserved for those individuals that will need warranty-related work done on their Mercedes Benz. I can have an Enterprise rental car set up for you if you will need a personal car that day. Our customers pay about $40/day with Enterprise. Please let me know if you’d like that as an option. I look forward to hearing from you if that is the case. Otherwise, I believe we’re set to go!
Thanks again,

The $450 is pretty close, but adBlue is simply overpriced at Merc dealers. You can find the fluid cheaper elsewhere, but the dealer still says the system needs "cleaned."
As for loaner cars, it's simply silly to think ANYTHING's free, and dealers that regularly offer them recover the costs via higher service rates, or perhaps in this case from Mercedes when it's warranty work. Service B is something easily done while you wait.

AdBlue has a 2 year life span. "Clean" is basically remove any un-used AdBlue and fill with new. Although usually in between services most of the AdBlue has already been used. MB is concerned about crystallization of old fluid causing damage to the AdBlue dosage system.
Loaner cars are always payed for by MB for warranty work. There are however more and more dealers that give loaners to everyone...at least in my area there are.

My sa told me that the adblue is so cheap that they are only charging for labor at this point. Their labor charge is $100 which I think is a little rediculous considering what is involved. I'll pay $100 every 10000 miles to save 25-30% on fuel though.
