Any deals on 2010 GL550?

I see some low miles, 2k to 4k, with MSRP from 83K to 86K. Is it possible to get one these in the 60's? A local dealer has 4 so I made an offer of 65k for one and was told no way I can buy it lower than 70K.

Any update on how you did?
I am looking at a '10 GL550 now with 7600 miles. They came down to $77,000, which still seems way to high.

77k, you're right about that being too high. $70 sounds more like it. I'm not too sure you'll make it into the mid 60's for one that hasn't been titled...but good luck and keep us posted, it would be a great score.

Thanks for the response. I'd be trading in my E350 4matic, which I love. I wasn't necessarily looking for a 550, but this is an interesting car if the price is right. I guess it was a Mercedes company vehicle and the warranty period started in May.

So far I have not much luck with dealers discounting a whole lot from their asking price. There are not many low miles 2010 GL550 available so dealers are not motivated to make a quick sale.

That's what I am seeing. I am pretty sure I am going to give up on this one and look for a loaded gl450 next year. I was mostly looking at this car because it has all the options I want and the color scheme I like ( a little rare - capri blue/cashmere). Just having a little trouble deciding if there is anything I'll miss about the 550...

Well, 2 weeks later and I decided I wanted the car, so we worked on it some more. He came down to $75k, and gave me $3k more for my E350 than he originally quoted. Not bad - it's definitely what I wanted!

I went through the same thing in November/December. They weren't willing to discount the outgoing 2010 to my offer of $74k. I found an 2011 with an 89K sticker and got 10% off. So it was either $77k for a 2010 or $80k for a 2011. No brainer!
