Just got a 07 GL450 today
Just upgraded today from a 04 GX470 to a 07GL450. I never owned a MB before and was overwhelmed by all the buttons . The car has 48900milez with the tax and everything i paid $34850. It has the P2 pkg i believe. It was a friend of a friend that went to a dealer auction to get it for me. He said to take it to MB before it hit 50000 miles. because it is still under warranty. And have them check it out.
Does that sound right? It would still be under warranty?
I have the owners manual.
I have only 1 key.. how much would another cost me?
The only thing i wish i had is the back up camera. My GX470 had one and my wife got used to it. The parking spot in my building is alittle tight but the parking sensors seem to stop her from backing into the wall .

The GL should still be under warranty - until 50K mi.
Key - have to get it through the dealer and you'll have to ask them for the price. the new key MUST be linked to the car using the Star computer system all dealers have. Expect to pay LOTS of $!!
Back up cameras etc are available from some of the folks on this forum. Where are you located? There might be a vendor near you.

The key will set you back about $275 with programming and tax. There is no other way to have the Key programmed for a Mercedes, and for safety they can remove the "missing" key from being able to open or start the car. Ebay keys etc cannot be used.
Warranties are good for 4 years to the month, so check the in service date of the car to see if it is still valid. 4years or 50K miles whichever is the soonest is when it runs out. Don't forget that the 07 Model came out in 2006.
Good luck and hope you enjoy many reliable miles.

I just got a new key a few months ago after someone smashed the window on my rental car in Santa Clara and took my laptop bag - with my MB key inside. It was $210 with programming. You have to bring title and photo ID to get the key.

You could probably use the bill of sale as a proof of ownership as well. The main thing they want to prevent is someone getting a key to steal an MB.
