If there are unused maintenance intervals left when you trade in your vehicle, is there a refund available for the unused service? Didn't miss any maintenance, just had it left over.

Doubt it. It's a prepaid asset that you sold along with the car, the new owner will reap the benefits unless prohibited by law or MB USA. Hopefully the dealer baked that into the price he paid you for your car.

 

I don't think you can get the money back. It's the same as with BMW service. No matter you buy new or used - if it's on warranty - it's free, but the price of maintenance included in the price of a car. MB does not include it, but you buy it for your car ..and sell it with the car.

 

I think you get that money back if you didn't use the maintenance...not sure though.

You can't get a refund, but it stays with the car (you bought it like any other option so it's attached to the VIN). This means you should be able to negotiate some value for it when you sell the car.

This is also why MB doesn't feel they owe you anything. To them, it's like you asking for a refund on the remaining useful life of a high-end Burmester.
