Hello forum members, newbie here. We're looking at buying a pre-owned 2011 GL450 and immediately I've been looking for new wheels to replace the OEM 19"s as anyone would have suspected. As the title says, will this set-up be too aggressive for the GL450? I read on some thread that 22x10 ET50 with the same tire specs sits just nice. Anyone here running this set-up? Thoughts?

I'd have to dig in more on this, I would have to measure the total diameter of my current set-up including tires to get a more accurate or close enough OEM spec wheels+tires overall diameter when going for 22" rims.
I put Vossen 22 x 10.5 rims with 305/35-22 tires on my GL320. They looked nice and fit well, but the added weight of this set-up took a big hit on my MPG. Since I bought a diesel for the good MPG I decided to compromise with 20" AMG replicas which have worked out well.
I made an error. The tire size on the 22's were 305/40-22 (not 305/35). I mounted Nexen Roadian HP tires on both the 22's and 20's. These tires are really inexpensive ($142 for 22's and $130 for 20's) and so far I have no complaints.

I am ready to get new tires or a newt set of tires and wheels.
