GL 350 Bluetec with error codes P111500 and P111600
I own 2010 GL 350 Bluetec and recently I have started having problems with it. I used 0W-40 for the last 4 oil changes. I have started experiencing "Engine oil low" warnings frequently. One time I had to replace 6 quarts of oil. I changed my mechanic and he used the original Mercedes oil designed for bluetec engines.
I had error codes prior to this engine oil change and they are P111500 and P111600. Can anybody help about the meaning of these codes and the problems I am going through and are these codes connected?
If I need to fix this code what will be rough estimate of costs of repair?

6 quarts? That means you had about 2 left in the motor. People have managed to seize the om642 with far more than that.
And your oil loss is not due to the 0w40 oil as while not -the- oil for the motor it is ok. You have an oil loss problem. Find it.
Regarding the codes- you sure those are the codes? What were they read with?

The codes need to be read with Mercedes specific star/ das scanner. Once you start dealing with manufacturer specific obd2 codes they differ widely and some are simply not read correctly let alone interpreted properly.
Oh WAS should not be mistaken wig WAF (wife acceptance factor- an important measurement for all toys a guy has)

THe engine oil loss is still continuing even after I changed to Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. This was recommended by Mobil and Mercedes parts salesman.
I had the codes analysed and had to replace DPF which costed me 3200.
I do not what will be the cost to fix the loss of engine oil?
There is no oil leak anywhere. DO you think iol is being burned in the engine or turbo?
If anyone knows what will be the cost to fix this type of problem I would appreciate this.

two possibilities
1. you are leaking it - it is possible you are losing oil at the oil cooler seals located in the v of the motor. it accumulates there as the seals leak and then when the truck is tilted upward the oil drains on the exhaust burning without a trace.
check the following- after driving for a while stop at an incline and take a whiff in the space between the engine hood and the windshield wipers- you dont have to even open the hood. if it smells like burnt oil- there is a good chance of what i said above to be the problem.
2. if there is no smell - i am suspicious that if the dpf was replaced you are burning the oil - engine is usually never the culprit (piston seals, valve guides are very strong), but the turbo seals might be failing. to lose that much oil the seals need to be in really bad shape and can be inspected by a knowledgeable tech. if that is the case you can get a rebuild turbo and have an indy replace it. the dealer will put a new turbo- very expensive.

If i get delayed for a week and use the SUV does it damage the vehicle and newly installed DPF?

Possibly. If you have really bad seals they might leak enough oil to soot up your new dpf.
I personally would not drive the truck until the seals are checked and/ or the source of the problem is found.

don't wait 10,000 miles between oil changes...just saying...if you are i wouldn't

not to mention oil, air filters, diff fluid, trans fluid change, tires soon, still to do---> antifreeze, brake fluid, fuel filter

Few days ago I took my GL to dealership and had compression and leak test performed as advised by other repair shop. The test revealed engine is okay and they replaced turbo seals. I was told by the mechanics that I might have been using an engine oil not suitable for my bluetec engine, hence it is being burnt by the engine. They replaced oil and ask me to drive 1000 miles and come back to see if the problem persists. I am waiting.
