Where can we jack up the truck safely?

Does anyone have any info on this? Like where on the truck to jack it up and where to place jack stands without hurting it? Thanks in advance!

There are four dedicated lift points. They are behind the front wheels you'll see the rubber pad and on the rear in front of the rear wheels again you'll see the rubber pads

So if we are to lift the vehicle by these pads, any suggestions on where to place the actual jack stands?

I was also wondering if there is any place at all to lift the car using my jack with (up to)34" crossbeam from the front or back?

I don't think anyone is going to tell you that there are other places under the truck that is a safe place to jack up the truck without exposing themselves with liability. I have seen other cars jacked up using the point where the subframe connects to the control arm so a normal jack can be put under the rubber jack points.

Geesh, I know.. lawyers.. (good and bad). Thanks for the reply though. Ok, lets take out the word (safely) in the title.. and replace with "that will most likely not break it."

Let me add I also read to "block wheel/s, jack it up at jack point with bottle jack, put hydraulic jack under the wheel and jack again, remove bottle jack, place in jackstand, lower."****

[****disclosure: I have no idea if this works, do not try at home, take your car only to a well trained mechanic, never try to jack up your car!]

I may have seen a GL550 jacked up that way in my garage multiple times, but I of course don't recommend anybody else try it on their car.

Rear can be lifted using a hitch.

if suspension doesnt need to be loose - lift at jack points or anywhere where there is good traction (no slip surface) under the lower control arms...do not jack under lower control arm bushings as you will destroy them especially if older ones.

if suspension needs to be loose - raise only at jack points or frame

so...

lift only at points that are normally designed to carry that weight. ideally you want to lift the frame or jack points.

do not lift by the hitch as tongue limit is 600 pounds and the rear of the truck is much much heavier.
