2010 Gl 450 beeping

no warnings on the dash at all just random beeping
106k miles, dealer wants 12k plus all the fees
it may just need a new battery or it could be random power interruptions because of water flooding in the areas where the battery bus bars and sensitive electronics live. Electrical weirdery in these cars is rarely good.
In my case, I have narrowed it down to an intermittent faulty front sensor with a visible dimple. The other sensors are dimple free. Only seems to happen in wet weather (for now).
Or it could be something else (and more expensive).

very nice car, felt really solid and healthy.
salesman turned off the P button while we were driving but it kept beeping,in unlocked fine, started without a key, opened and closed tailgate no problem.

Even if its a battery its no big deal, has new intake manifold and front struts and front tires what i could see in the carfax
Beeping in complex cars is a concern if they can't tell you what's causing this and you can confirm that it is true.

when a GL beeps it is usually accompanied by a message in the dash
if no accompanying message then there’s electrical gremlins afoot. Recommend having them or you take it to an MB dealer for a Prepurchase Inspection. They should be able to pull codes and tell you if there has been repeated instances of battery voltage dropping below 12v, which is what a water induced electrical problem often manifests itself like - random shut offs and beeps.
plenty of other non gremlinous GLs out there, why don’t you look at those?
