You might want to have it read to see which wheel speed sensor is the problem. Maybe you got a bad sensor or bad connection.
You may also see you have a code regarding the conductor plate, this would cause what you are experiencing as well.

Yes…they’ll go bad, sometimes when the battery is dying and you put a new one in.
replace in pairs front and back with genuine Mb parts and all that weirdness will go away.
do not drive until you’ve fixed this.

You can buy the MB parts online but make sure they are MB OEM and not some replacement "equivalent" OEM. The symptoms are more frequent sensor changes. The aftermarket ones fit without an adapter but the quality/tolerance or whatever it is really makes a difference. Changing the sensors is not a big deal but when they fail it can cause some real safety issues since it disables the traction control and abs.

I have had a few sensor issues - one had the typical replace wheel sensor and check wheel bearings etc - it was a weekend and only had the car til Sunday (daughters car) so I actually just cleaned the sensor ring area on the hub (through the sensor hole and rotated hub) with a very small wire brush - fair bit of corrosion etc (as expected) - blew it out with compressor and put back togethor
Took car for a quick run and still had error so was thinking about getting a new sensor when fired the car up again and it cleared - has not had problem again.
Another car was engaging the traction even just going slowly around yard - the live data showed that wheel doing about 140kph when other wheels only doing 5kph (true speed) - it was first time I ever had an ABS sensor not just stop reading.
