I have read multiple aftermarket system here and my car came with HK and rear monitors and rear camera. Given that I can't get everything working like factory, I am leaning towards Dash cam type of screen as basically I am looking to get Apple Car play in car. I dont mind Bluetooth audio with Bovee that I use connected to IPOD cable and sound is fine. Mostly I am looking for navigation from car play. ANybody has any links on what works. ? I can install the system but don't want to do it if can't get factory rear entertainment system working thru speakers. I have firetv connected there and truly enjoy the screen in back seat.
Talk to Teyes sales team. They have good units and they will tell you upfront if you can make it all work together. They speak english and are located in Australia. I installed one in my daughters B180 and it works very well.
I just ordered this. Would let you guys know if everything goes according to the plan. I don't want to lose any functionality. Just upgraded my w205 C63s with Android screen and can't be happier. Everything works and command is still there incase if I need anything. Was looking for something similar where Android can bolt on top of Command and not replace it.

Yes please do, I`m in the same boat, have 12 GL550 and have the rear seat entertainment for the kids, don`t want to lose any functionality, it comes pretty handy on the long distance trips, which we do a few times a year.
Ok. I went for rear view mirror dash cam + CarPlay. It’s fantastic and connects with Bluetooth to my iPod adapter and everything with music can be controlled with steering. It also has dash cam and rear cam that I installed inside. Basically I kept everything and added CarPlay without loosing any features. The problem with other screens was install was too blocking or too far to touch.

ok I love the setup. It just works. Phone from CarPlay plays via MB Bluetooth, Siri works and install is clutter free as all cables from rear view mirror snap in the cavity between roof and glass to a pillar to power source at footwell of front passenger. The mirror is reflective to see behind if rear camera is not installed. Why didn’t I do this before?
oh wait there is only 1 or 2 mirrors like this on Amazon and this is new breed. No connectivity issues. Works flawless.

I wish I can get commission on this. It’s already 25$ cheaper than what I bought for. Totally worth it. The only think I might change is upgrade rear view camera with color night vision or something eventually. For this price it’s a steal. I use BoVEE for Bluetooth audio to iPod connector. The steering wheel controls the music on CarPlay and even shows on display by spedometer
enough sales pitch. Please post if there are better choices. For these price I might buy a new one every 6 months.
