GL450 Shut Off No Start

GL450 Shut Off No Start
Morning.
My driver backed my 2009 out of the stall, while idling the engine shut off and the car refused to start.
I wrongly assumed it was the battery and swapped it out. It immediately started.
About two days later we tried to use it and it did not start.
Where should I be looking at?
Thanks.

I suggest you be very specific about the symptoms. The people reading know nothing besides what you write.
We have the following data from you:
1. Stalled while idling
2. Would not re-start (no crank? crank no start?)
3. Changed battery
4. Started
5. No start (no crank? crank no start?)
6. Blows starter solenoid fuse
Do you see how much information is missing?
When was the starter last changed? How many miles are on the current one? When it cranks, does it crank at a healthy speed? What is the battery voltage before attempting to crank?
And, of course, what codes do you read, mostly from the ECU, before and after clearing the codes (and attempting again to start)?

It is often tempting to hunt for a root cause, but this must not be done at the expense of collecting data on symptoms.

I removed the ignition module and it “looked” okay, no damage but quite different format from all the ones on YouTube.
As you’re helping me out please understand that I’m in Ibadan, Nigeria, Africa
Thank you.

We traced a fault to the ECU. NGN450,000 ($300) for a replacement. Truck is back up. My mechanic says we need replacement coils for number 6 & 8.
i think the ECU was burned because they bridged the fuse.
So I’m still not sure on what actually happened and the trust in my truck is shakened
Thanks.

Oh boy. Make sure that the starter relay is replaced with the correct part. There is a pin-compatible version that is very different.
It is unlikely that the ECU decided to fail. Much more likely is that the starter relay blew the ECU's semiconductor switch for the starter relay activation coil - i.e. the relay coil shorted out. But then how does this lead to excess current applied to the starter relay? The ECU cannot apply more than 12V; all that should happen is the starter insists on cranking.
