Running board lights staying on issues

Good luck, hope you find it quick.
One of the battery drain culprits is usually a switch failed or failing, in that it doesn’t let the car fully go to sleep because it signals that a door is still open.
Some lights stay on and all of the bus architecture and ECM’s also stay on. Your symptom is sort of similar but different.
I have to go look in wis to see if the red warning stating door open is driven by the latch not closed and not the light switch.

Have you had the car for long?
Did you have the same replaced or did it come to you with the new Sam?
Reason I’m asking is I think someone might have programmed the car in DAS developer mode to have these lights stay on for longer as under body lights?
