I ordered a 2013 in March and will get a 2014 in August for same price but different discount through USAA.
My SA called me out of the blue on Friday and said he had the car at the dealer so come pick it up. I had been pestering him once a month since March and then every two weeks in July, but never got more than an estimated build date and delivery. Surprisingly he was right on with his original estimate for the 2014.
I'll post photos as soon as I can get it "bailed" out.

Good luck with a great vehicle. Also good to know there is a way to get a decent discount on the GL. The two dealers I've dealt with so far coming off the internet were offering -$3000 and -$2280 on a build with a $78380 MSRP. I've heard the fleet deals like Costco or in your case USAA are the way to go, your deal seems to confirm that.

bought at Lokey motors st pete Fl
I also got a additional $1,500 credit from MB USA headquarters because I complained about a problem I had with Crown MB where I bought an S500 a few years ago and had a problem when I traded on my BMW last year
don't know dealer invoice cost
my guess since I loaded the vehicle $25k options over base price and the road in front of dealer is under construction difficult access to their store may have been reason I got this great price

Yours is a little higher MSRP than my order so % wise the -$3k isn't too bad on a $78k MSRP car. For now there's not much discounting here in the Philly metro area. I'm not ready to order yet it will have to wait till later this year. I'll see what they'll do when I can actually offer to give them the order with a little better deal. I'll try them on Black Friday supposed to be the best day of the year to make a deal.

I agree to wait till end of year for good deal. However checking the supply and demand it looks unlikely a great deal can happen soon.
My lease is up in Nov. so maybe I can get a deal going in Oct. my leased GL has less than 15k miles but has minor body damage worth $3500. Trying to get the dealer buy it as is considering the low mileage.
Do u guys think it would be possible to lease a GL450 with MSRP 78~80K (before neg. price) for 36 mo and only $2000 down for around 750/ mo.

Yesterday I went to my local dealer to finally pull the trigger and finance a 350. When I arrived there, there was one of these bad boys available. Just arrived that day with 6 miles on it. The built had everything (including the color combo) I was planning on ordering, plus some other options that I didnt need.
So instead of ordering, financing and waiting for months, I decided to lease it. Happy surprise! Now I get to ride one of these as a lease for 3 years. Supremely excited
