More than 2 Wireless Headphone possible?
Does anyone here have a close relationship with a MB service tech that can find out if the Rear Entertainment System can support more than 2 headphones?
I see the headphones being sold on eBay but not sure they are meant as a replacement or addition to the pair.

I heard the new entertainment system can support more than two but you need to order by VIN price is bout $400 each headphone, I don't know if it's true, in my older GL (X164) I have 4 headphones w/o any problem

A few different ones
We didn't get the Entertainment system in our new GL but I can tell you on our 2009 & 2011 GL450 you could use more then 2 headphones but they did not work in the 3rd row ...

Corded headphone
Did anyone try to plug in a corded head phone to the OEM rear entertainment system? I tried on both with both COMAND and rear DVD player. The corded head phone plug in did not work. Was the cord plug meant for something else ?
Thanks.

Did not work meaning no sound? Did you use the remote to increase the volume?

There is no sound what so ever. No sound from either display whether they are playing from COMAND or the rear seat DVD player. No sound with remote volume or COMAND volume. No sound from several working headphones. What am I missing ?

Can you take a photo of the jack you are plugging into without any sounds. One other thing is that in the COMAND, you can control the source of the audio. If it's set on CD or Radio and it's not on, you will not get any sound in the rear.

My dealer today told me they can only program 2. Can anyone confirm that 3 will work? We have splitview so it makes sense that 3 people should be able to listen using headphones.

In the 14 and 15 you can have a ton of headphones paired. I can't remember the exact number but it is more than there are seats in the car. I don't know why it would be different in a 13. I had 4 paired in my 14 and have 4 paired in my 15 550. The dealer needs to do the pairing.

I know nothing about 2013 although 2013 and 2014 should be virtually identical.
Hope it helps.

Dealer unable to program headsets
Went to dealer here in Mass and was told that the headsets that use to work in my car can not be paired. They said I may have to purchase a whole new unit. To me thats BS...I’ve only had my 2012 S550 for a year and this is my second time taking those headsets in to be synced. Since it’s a CPO, does anyone know if this is covered by my warranty?

If I recall correctly, the 2013 was infrared (IR), or maybe they were radio frequency (RF).
My 2014 is bluetooth. I had the system added later, and the tech said you can pair I believe 10 or so headsets. The thing is, they all have to be done at the same time and you cannot do it yourself.
I have about 4 remotes - and they work for the 2013 and 2014.

hi there,
I am trying to add OEM wireless headphones to the rear entertainment system (2014 GL350) but the green light on the headphone is just blinking. Any suggestions?
