Wood wheel heated?
I am finalizing my 350 GL order. Can anyone (in Canada) tell me if the wood/leather wheel is heated like in my S550? I appreciate the help!

From my research the only heated wheel available for this car is the all leather one. You can't get a wood and heated wheel (non available aftermarket as well). Unfortunately, it's one or the other.

Correct - however the wood/leather wheel really accents the wood cabin trim well - adds a definite upscale look - also the wood wheel warms well in the sunshine - interestingly when warmed in the sun the collected solar heat thermally conducts/collects to the top/12PM position on the top wood wheel - often making the wheel seem "heated"..

I have the wood/leather wheel in my GL. I like the look better than all leather for sure. But I do miss the heated option. And I'll tell you that in extreme cold that wood is the coldest thing to touch in the car. Also, in extreme heat (and in the sun) it becomes the hottest thing in the car to touch, so not very practical in the temperature extremes. But you can't beat the look.
Just my two cents.

I know that wood looks good as my Lexus had it. But, I thoroughly enjoy the heated wheel and would not give it up for a cool look. Similarly, I also have 19" wheels because I believe they are more practical (i.e.curb damage), ability in snow conditions, though I know they don't look as impressive. I guess you might say I am more into functional capabilities over adding to the look of the SUV. I bought it because I thought even the most basic version looks great. We are all different and I would strongly suggest that geography impacts things as well. Here in Massachusetts, winter resets your priorities. :-)

High temperature here since last week has been 3 degrees F. I need heated more than anything. I do wish they would have a heated wood wheel since I like the looks of the wood trim. I know the wood wouldn't warm, but keep it between 10 and 2 o'clock and there's enough of the wheel that is warm.

My 2014 GL550 has a heated all-leather wheel. My 2011 S63 has a heated wood/leather wheel, but it only heats the leather part, which is ~20 percent of the surface, so it's only useful if you drive with your hands on 9 and 3.

Have to admit that I miss the heated steering wheel on my wife's GL63.
We have the wood/leather.
My Porsche Panamera has a wood/leather wheel that heats both the wood and the leather. The wood just heats a bit faster than the leather section.
