Negotiating for GL350 Bluetec 2014

I am trying to negotiated for a GL 350 Bluetec 2014 in Toronto.

Any advice on what to expect?

$74900 before options
$84100 after options

I assume this is on the lot? The ability to negotiate varies quite a bit from dealer to dealer. These are high demand vehicles, so some haven't gotten much of a discount. Others have seen better. Be sure to look into fleet discounts.

Cool Negotiate? In Canada?

I don't think that you'll be able to negotiate much in monetary terms at all. The demand far outstrips supply and they can sell the darn things just as fast as they can get them across the border.

There is a fleet discount of $1500 if you have a car allowance as part of your compensation package but that's all I've heard about since the 2013's came along.

I keep hoping that they'll throw in the 3M front end film as a part of my purchase, but I understand that they really do not have to if they don't want to. It would just be a matter of pride of the dealership in their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Best of luck, but I imagine that you'll be paying MSRP.

Mercedes GL350 Bluetech
I was not able to negotiate on the GL350 because they are in such demand. Had to order one (dealer let me take one of their slots in the order stream). I was able to stand my ground on my Audi trade in. I came down $1,000 on my number and stood pat, the dealer came up $5,000 from its original offer.

I ordered my GL before the vehicle ever came out and waited 8 months and was still able to get a deal, you should have pm'd me, I could have saved you minimum $4000.

I ordered a 2013 and they ran out so ended up giving me the 14 for same price as the 13, but still had to wait a bit. Got the USAA Discount, about $2k plus the difference in the 13 and 14 price. I was satisfied.

Love the car so far.

You were lucky then. I visited 4 dealerships in the Philly and Princeton, NJ area and nobody was giving anything on the '14 diesel, because there were none to be had. I didn't want to wait forever, so when they offered me one of their slots to get the equipment I wanted, I took it. Overall, I went with the best deal on my trade in. In the end, I'm satisfied.

nothing to do with luck, just have to negotiate, It doesn't matter if they build 1 Gl a day or 500 a day. at the end of the day even if they give you $4000 off they are still making/meeting huge profit margins, especially on options.
