Prepaid Maintenance - Refundable?
Is the prepaid maintenance and the Tire/Wheel Warranty refundable upon the sale of the vehicle?
I know the extended warranty is but am wondering about prepaid maintenance and Tire/Wheel.

Prepaid maintenance is not refundable and not transferable - if you have not purchased yet - best value purchase a 3-pack AFTER original 10K service.
3-pack at time of service is A-B-A - when purchased AFTER 10K service - same package/same price is B-A-B - more bang for the buck !

It depends on your planned ownership life - based on gasser - if you plan to own for 40K miles/4yrs or more.
if you plan to own 20K miles - buy prepaid 2 pack at time of purchase.
If you plan to own 30K miles - buy prepaid 3 pack at time of purchase.
If you plan to own 40K miles - buy prepaid 3 pack AFTER 1st 10K service
If you plan to own 50K miles or more - my recommendation buy 3-pack AFTER 1st 10K service, then decide what is best strategy before 50K service based on your updated ownership plan at that time
Keep the beat !

I have a diesel, but did buy the prepaid maintenance after the 1st service. It's a better deal.
I also know it's not refundable/transferable because I was looking to trade my GL350 for a GL450/GL550 this summer.

Have a 2014 GL350 and coming up on the first service soon. Need to decide whether to purchase the prepaid now or wait until after the 10k service. We intend on keeping the car for at least 5 years (~50k miles).
Thanks!

You can only buy 2 packs or 3 packs of prepaid maintenance. In order to include the 4th service you have to buy a 3 pack, you need to buy it at your second service. That's what I did with my GL350. There are debates on how much you really save, especially if your dealership offers sales on service, etc. I chose to do it this time, didn't do it on my 2007 GL450.

Yes, it holds for diesels as well. Here's the way I think about it. The most expensive service is the 40K service - your 4th service on the vehicle.

So how do they not adjust the price on a "3-pack" if it includes two B services instead of 2 A services? Could MB really be that aloof?
What is the typical price for a 3-pack?
