2024 GLS 580. Formerly 2015 GL 550, 2003 S430.
New GL550

So I've had my 2015 GL550 for about 2 weeks now. I've been driving the S-class since 2004, but figured I wanted something different this time around. And I safely say that I have no regrets getting the GL550 over the S550.

Love, LOVE the car! Steel Grey, with Grey/Dark Grey interior, it's beautiful, very practical and a pleasure to drive. Pictures doesn't do it justice, but here are some anyway.

And the best part of it? The stupid ECO button is absent in the GL550! The fact that the ECO function cannot be permanently turned off is extremely annoying, but thankfully the GL550 doesn't even have ECO!

2015 - GL 550
Welcome to the Club

Having Opt-Coat the whole car would really make it outstanding....

She's a beauty!! Love the steel grey.

I've got a 2015 GL550 on order as well, Obsidian Black with designo Parchment interior and it should be here in July. I'm currently driving a 2012 E550 so it will be quite a change. Can't wait!!

Very nice ride. I gave serious thought to a new S550 but after driving it over 3-day weekend I came to realize that we (my wife and I) prefer the room in our GL550 and find it easier to get in and out. We drive a 2014 model and may trade it in on the refreshed 2016 but we may go all the way and order the GLS63.

I've stated this before on this message board but of all the cars I've owned, the GL550 draws the most compliments by far. I hope you find the same to be true.

I agree that I get the compliments too in an admiration way and not a jealous way. An S class tend to send a more intimidating message I've noticed.

I agree. The room in the GL is well worth it. My wife and I did look at the GL63 AMG as well, but when we took it for an extended test drive we found the ride to be a little too harsh as we felt the impacts from our terrible roads much more than what we did in the GL550. We felt the comfort of the GL550 was more to our liking. But, I have to say, the sound of the GL63 at start up is intoxicating!!

2015 GL550, F250 4x4, C6 corvette convet.
Great choice! I bought my wife a 2015 blue 550 and we have had it just a short time but now have 4000 miles on it.
Here is my opinion, I have had one land-rover and 3 Range-rovers and two infinity's.
NONE hold a candle to the 550, by far the best car i have ever had, except for my F250 lariat I drive to work and my play new corvette but they are different type cars and i will take the 550 on a trip any day over the the play toys.

Just a perfect machine!
