2015 GL450 ECU Tune - Dyno Results
After tuning GL450 3.0L V6 Biturbo we saw huge gains of +124wTq @3600rpm and +106wHp @4600rpm to all 4 wheels on a 4×4 Mainline Dyno. An unmodified GL450 running CA91 premium pump fuel was dyno tested. Gains can be seen on the pictured graph below, the unmodified Baseline (Blue) vs OE Tuning ECU Tune (Red).

Power and performance ECU upgrade from OE Tuning includes:

Increased Boost Targets (16psi)
Fuel Adjustment
Improved Throttle response
Top Speed Limiter removal
Raised Torque Limits

2024 GLS 580. Formerly 2015 GL 550, 2003 S430.
I'm sure the chip works, but the question is: how will it affect the transmission and the drivetrain in general?

I doubt the drivetrain is set up to handle the increased horsepower and torque, hence installing this is begging for trouble.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the same drivetrain from the GL550, which has similar, if not more whp.

From testing we did not see any adverse effects to the transmission. In actual fact the trans can take far more torque output than our tune delivers.
