Extended CPO warranty price on a 2014 GL450
Hi, I'm about to purchase a 2014 GL450. With the CPO, the warranty is good until Sept 2018. I'm debating on getting an additional 2 years to Sept 2020. MB dealer quoted $3495 for the 2 extra years. Is this a good price or should I call other MB dealers? I did read the thread on who to call so I have 2 names from that list to try.

Std warranty should put you there. If CPO, you would be good until Sep 2019.

Btw, K2 Man, do you mind telling me how much you paid for the used 13 GL550? I found one that is located about 3.5 hrs away. I am leaning towards the 2014 GL450 as it has very little miles (15k) vs the 2013 GL550 (40k). Price difference between the 2 is around $5k with the GL450 costing $50,990 (has leather, lightning, appearance, lane and parking assist, tow hitch, clear bra, power 2nd row). The GL550 has designo leather as the other packages are already standard on it. But I've not seen or driven this yet as it is quite far away. A similar 2013 GL550 cost $60k in my area but again they are also charging the same for a 2014 GL450. Hence I needed to buy from about an hour away. I found other 2014 GL 450 with less options around $45-48k but they are MBTex and also much higher miles.

An update to my post. I picked up the car last week. A 2014 GL450 with approx 15k miles. Metallic brown exterior with beige/black leather interior. Comes with lightning, appearance, lane tracking and parking assist package.
The finance guy beat the price of the additional 2 year warranty ($2800). I didn't push any lower. Once that was settled, he also offered the 3 year pre-paid package (B-A-B service) for $1500 which I accepted since the 40k service + B package alone would be close to $1000 from a quick search while I was there, essentially making the first B+A price to be $500.
The other car I was interested in, a 2013 GL550 (40k miles) for approx $5k more, turns out to not have designo package. I e-mailed the dealer and asking them about it because the interior photos show the seats to be just regular leather seats. He told me that it is indeed not designo and it was a mistake. Considering the dealer is about 3.5hrs away and I also have a trade-in, I didn't want to drive that far to check out the vehicle.
