Crashed my gl in a police chase .. advice needed on 16 gl350

Hi guys crashed my 2007 gl320 in a chase and was looking into purchasing a low mileage gl350 2016 but afraid of problems ..
dI’d they sort all the problems by 2016
1- chain problems ?
2- oil cooler seal leak?
3-Bluetec ?
etc...
thanks guys

Dude first of. Good job!! That’s an absolute good deed, you have saved many from getting hurt or even killed. Dumb kids driving drunk.

Anyways my two cents in the GL, go for a 450 v6 or GLS550. I hear too many quirks and costs with owning a diesel. Some are lucky.

From the experiences of members here, the 350 Bluetec is much more problematic than the 320's due to the Adblue/emissions components. Why would you want the diesel? If mileage, the GLS 450 with new transmission is very fuel efficient compared to the 550 and old NA 450.

Eric thats good thinking my friend . You save life that day . And you never thought about yourself ,, but for others .
I think the state should have a whip round to get you a spanking new 4x4 .

Great job Erick. Thanks for sharing that story. Just find one where you can get an aftermarket warranty and you will be fine.

I'd skip the BlueTEC from my experience. They're just not worth it.

Eric, wow; reading that story gave me chills; I was in the Pentagon on 9/11 and survived only because the desk I was sitting in had windows behind it and not bricks like the 3 other co-workers killed that day. You my friend are truly someone I would go into battle with, please accept my sincere gratitude for your act of kindness.

I was just wondering what vehicle did you end up getting to replace you GLS?

Thanks,
Dennis
