Oil in engine harness
Plus, my impression is there is only a kit for the sensors, not the positioners?
My fix is forever, works on any/all of the eight problem plugs, no matter how much they leak.
I don't know how much oil I've collected, but a couple ounces I spoze? With the vacuum on them it's no doubt sucking out more oil than it would normally. All I know for sure is I had cam plugs full of oil, but after all this time my ECU plug is bone dry. Yes it's a redneck fix, but those are my favorite, especially when they're cheap and work better than anything else :p Maybe the problem is very few Benz owners are rednecks and I'm virtually all alone here
Still, I'd imagine many people don't feel like spending $10k on replacing the harness of a car worth 10-20K, so I guess I'll just wait it out and see.

Replacing all 4 sensors, while not cheap, it is not prohibitively expensive (price of a single high end tire).
NewB: I'm too tight to replace the sensors :p I did have to replace one that died, which was $27 from RockAuto. I'm way too tight to buy oem

Ok, I still have this truck. This vehicle has provided so much anxiety as it has aged to the point it is hardly driven. I have only around 63k miles. Checked the connectors and they were dry, but it still has some rough vibrations at idle and over 70 mph. I do not believe that pigtails were installed when this was previously repaired. Can someone confirm for me?
And then lastly, I seem to have a Coolant leak. Anyone seen this before:

As for the leak, it's hard to tell, especially since your radiator looks different than mine. If it were me I'd just clean it so you can get a better feel for when it leaks again. If it were me, I wouldn't even worry about it unless I was loosing coolant, but it would be nice to see where's it's coming from.
If it still makes a mess all over the place after cleaning then my go-to is to pack the area with paper towels so the air can't blow it around, then pull them off to see where it's wet.
I am curious about that black gunk in the pix. And what is that part anyway? Is that just a mounting point for the radiator or is there a radiator cap hidden under there?
I would also suggest AlumAseal to seal the leak, which I've used since I was 16, but it seems it's discontinued. I can't imagine why because it was awesome, cheap, and didn't make a mess. It was simply Aluminum powder fyi. It gets into and clogs up any hole. They make a liquid version, which makes me wonder if they did that just to charge more $.
