2016 gl350 X166 skid plates
Has anyone else ordered the metal skid plates from the gl450 off road package?
i ordered the today and was wondering how they fit?
is anyone running 275/55r20 tyres or any other non factory size?

Recently made a trip from Indiana to Ouray/Silverton CO and was able to test out my KO2s. Sadly don't have the Off Road Package but have been looking for parts like the steel skids and the low range tcase.

Mounting those can be fun. I use a jerry can on its side to prop them close enough to the bottom of the car. It saves me some aggravation and passionate vocabulary. Safety tip: the can should not contain any fuel.

@Cody Brinck looks great! Did you do black Bear Pass to Telluride?
I am cautions on that route because of potential body damage, and ask for scouting reports before going there, but our ML's sure show up the Jeep Clubs.
It's fun to come across a a group of Jeeps, studying and planning their attacks, and ask them if we can Play Through. And then watch their smirks and mockery turn into averted eyes

How do those Ko2 handle highways and overall driving day to day. Do they plane straight or are they constantly pulling car one way or the other.

FYI the front skid plates unfortunately do not fit those with an AMG body styling front bumper. The center (main) one does!
If you have the plastic skid plate - you will need 15 new screws (different than the plastic ones) that are more heavy duty = 000000-007668 - $5.40 list, can be found online for $2.50/each.
Don't forget to order the foam piece (goes on the skid plate) and plastic attachments in case yours didn't come with it.
I spray painted mine with rustoleum to prevent rust (engine enamel gloss black).
