Software updates
Or are you trying to update the navigation database? If it's the database, there are multiple options for DIY database updates. (example)
That said, the GL X166 is perhaps the easiest of all MB vehicles to add an aftermarket box to enable Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with the OEM screen. There's literally only 2 screws involved. Alternatively, it's also possible to replace/upgrade the NAV screen with a larger unit that also enables CarPlay and Android Auto. There's multiple threads for both aftermarket options.

I'll eventually that the joyeauto interface box. Not sure if that would help get the rear cam feed back into the screen?
Once you have the cameras working and want to get install an aftermarket box, consider a newer generation unit (like RoadTop) rather than the earlier Joyeauto unit. (I have both). That, or go all in and get one of the units with a larger screen.

Note that there are multiple channels that sell outwardly similar "RoadTop" units and I don't know if they are related. FWIW, these units are also available via Aliexpress and Amazon depending on your location.
