ML63's "generally available" - "regular dealers" in to 50% dealer ranking can secure ML63 with some finesse for model year 2013, same top 50% dealers for model year 2012 only some really could and had to jump thru hoops for those few..

I don't know whats going on the the GL63's status. I cannot get a straight answer from anyone at the dealership (a regular dealer and an AMG center). If the production is still on schedule for next month then its time for us to know more details.

I think factory reopens next week so should know more then. I have an S Class with the Porcelain and it looks fantastic but you have to be careful to keep it clean. I would go to a dealership to see it on an S or SL to make sure you like it.

Just got an email from my dealer confirming I am on 3/1 order cycle. Still no window sticker. As a reminder this is from a non-AMG Performance Center dealer but one that I have bought several ordered cars from and they have always come through.

The printout from the Netstar has both an order cycle date and a build date. My experience is that an order cycle of xx/yy by itself does not mean anything. If the build date is empty then that means MB has not yet accepted the order and that the order is in queue. When MB accepts the order then a build date is assigned and a PO number is also assigned. If the dealer does not have an allocation then the order cycle date will keep changing for the future until the dealer has an allocation.
I have a GL550 on order since September and the order cycle date just keeps changing for the future since the dealer does not have an allocation. I have a printout for both the GL63 and GL550 and its the same - a order cycle date with no build date. Last time I requested a printout for the GL63 it showed an order cycle date of 02/3 with no build date. I am certain if I check now it will be a March order cycle.
I think based on this info my guess is that the allocations are not in for anyone yet.
Ask your dealer for a Netstar printout.

Ask them - mine is a single page. It has the Netstar logo and has "maintain Request" on the top. The order cycle date is towards the bottom of the page and there is a Schedule date field which on mine is blank. The schedule date is the build date.

Designo Porcelain for ML/GL's is slightly different in color and feel to Designo Porcelain sedans - the ML/GL is a hair/but visibly "whiter"
Sam's post/explanation is quite accurate.. my expectation on domestic GL63's will stay "gray" and not be clarified in large part until end-Jan for very limited Spring US delivery.
Do you know how much Dubai and Russia will pay for these, just imagine..

Its not 75k , I go to Dubai every summer and know the dealer personally, MB and Maybach is represented by Gargash ... your figures are wayyyyy off, the SLS in Dubai is 212,000 USD so no way in hell a GL63 is 200K+. I bought an M3 in Dubai for 4k more than what i would pay in Canada
Price of some of the AMG vehicles in Dubai for 2013:
C63: $81,600 (about the Same price as Canada)
C63 Coupe: $86,000 (about the Same price as Canada)
E63: $122,000
CLS63: $139,000 (about the Same price as Canada)
S63: $172,000
S65: 250,000 ( cheaper than in Canada)
CL65: $260,500 (cheaper than in Canada)
SLK55: 81500

Ho ho ho... now that's a good chuckle.. like Dubai sells base models... oh, and buyers in Dubai don't pay premiums over official price... or before I forget, by the way Maybach is extinct, maybe you didn't get the memo..

Can you check with them to see if they got their hands on the Dealer Ordering Guide (PDF) yet? I'm still waiting on the one I'm waiting for (SLS BS), and I suspect they'll both hit at the same time.

Order my gl63 this morning... Dealer will be getting back to me on the build date. As of this morning they didn't have the ordering guide. I left 1K deposit So wait and see!!

There is no build date until MB accepts the dealer order. The good thing is that you may have a shorter wait than most of us as allocations must be coming soon.
