They are 22 inch ADV1 wheels...Michael at Acute Performance help me put them together.... Expensive but stunning.
I have a situation with MB that is allowing me to make the move without much in pain. At this point, I have had enough of black cars... They are just too hard to keep clean for somebody who is as **** as me. (though a black metallic would be a bit easier)... I will miss the third row sunroof and the changer... But will love the silver, black OEM factory wheels, and the black birds eye maple vs the piano finish interior trim. I'm also passing on the rear seat entertainment (to hard to setup for the kids plus they use ipads) and I am adding rear seat airbags and window shades.
cheers,

On the third row moonroof, I have a hard time believing that will actually go away. This is not the refresh year and it would be unusual for MB to make a structural change like that. I guess we will see.

Yep... OEM wheels will get my scorpion winters and the Adv 22s will continue as summer.
I would be surprised about the structural change too... But that is what has been reported from MB. I would have liked to have seen the LED lights and maybe a red interior....(with black carpets). And maybe better technology...especially pandora radio and LTE /wifi...
I really like these cars for what they are ... Actually, The biggest thing on my dream list would be an AMG diesel .... People are missing the point of AMG sometimes not recognizing how well these cars handle and stop... Just make it sound good and a 0-60 of 6 seconds and a serious punch from 40-70 with handling!

Came from an Audi Q7 4.2.
This thing rocks. I have a couple of questions, hope there is enough life in the board to get some answers.
An annoying "check coolant level" message comes on despite the coolant level being full. Is this common? Headed to the dealer next week to get it checked.
Rear camera is nice but dark at night. I live in the country and backing up without ambient light is difficult when compared to the camera in the Audi. Tried the lightening function but still can't get it to the point of being usable. Works fine during the day.
Amazing car and the engine is a monster. Great fun.

Welcome aboard. Really nice photo of a great SUV.
Haven't had the cooling issue you referenced but agree that the back-up camera is inadequate at night. I know there were some posts about it in the regular GL forum - not sure if anyone figured out a solution. Let me know what you find out.
Kind regards

Thanks DB, I did check the manual on the backup camera. My observation is that it is not nearly as usable at night on the G as it was on my previous Audi Q7 because it is so dark.
I talked to the dealer about the coolant light. "Full" means really full and when I added distilled water, about a cup, the light when off. They told me a cup was insufficient to dilute the 50/50 mix to the point it would cause problems. I did have some MB antifreeze but it was blue/green as opposed to the pink that was already in the G and was advised not to use it.

Seeing at night when reversing
ON the Backup Camera, has anyone tried any of the (many) high output LED replacement bulbs? Those might be an easy upgrade for the night view.
Failing that, I've also thought about perhaps adding aftermarket reversing lights and mounting them near the license plate

I got obsidian black on ADV 6 mate black wheels. I grew up on N7 but now I only go there on weekends to visit my wife's parents and during the week I work around there(my office is in Greenpoint). You work there too? What's your favorite place to grab a glass of beer around there?

You may get a better picture on the rear view camera.
