M157 Water Pump question
Currently planning to gather the required parts for the Water Pump / Thermostat / Turbo coolant lines replacement.
Going through the part list, I have a question. Does the Water Pump sold online at dealerships (A157200010764) does include the water pump gasket? or should I buy it separatelly?
Thanks in advance
David

I will throw the turbo coolant lines in the mix.

I am guessing you see the radiator leaking or it was pressure tested for flow? I did mine at about ten years but I honestly dont remember why at this time, maybe a leak at a side seam. Fortunately radiators are a quick 1 hour diy. hopefully your all settled after this.

The theory is heat soak when parked. According to my guys there is no sign of a bad head gasket...that said, I think that once I saw white smoke at FOT, but, cant verify that.
The temps parked will sit at 212 (oil) and 200 water. On the button, no matter how hard I drive. On occasion the oil will go 215 or so but only for a moment after pushing the car.

What I have found is it depends if the circuit is open or not. Ive seen this in multiple vehicles ive owned. For instance it would be still upon startup and start to move when the pumps activate or the thermostat is open.
I have not started my 63 in a few weeks so would be happy to check at start up and once it gets some heat to it for comparisons sake. Its an overflow tank but in circuit vs passive overflow tanks on many cars.

2013 e63 p30 split cooling
Likely not driving today but that shows a small bypass when in the startup circuit and I expect more if warm and tstat is open.
