GLB 35 DCT TRANSMISSION QUESTION
Luckily enough I recently own a GLB 35, everything is perfect since the beginning. However, I got a question regarding a DCT transmission:
Yesterday when I drove up to my garage (My yard quite like a uphill), I experienced sort of noise when stopped on an incline, took my foot off the brake and hit the accelerator. It's like a small clunk sort of sound. Metal on metal sort of thing. This sound appeared in the gearbox for like 2s before automatically selecting a gear to slightly move uphill. It sounds unusual to me because I only used to own a CVT before and that matter never happens before.
I'm wondering if it is a characteristic of DCT or should I have it check at the next servicing? if it is a characteristic of DCT, how should I correctly go uphill with a DCT to avoid that noise happening again?

min 8:46: "this is manual transmission that happens to be automatically controlled so that may explain a certain criteria of driving may give a delay or weird shift because computer can only predict a driver's input to a certain degree"... That is why when on gas the computer is predicting that you are shifting up and breaking as shifting down....
i said the same after getting my GLB35.
I’ve found that creating your own drivers setting with engine input on the low/mild setting.
and resetting the DCT to readapt to your driving style has worked for me on the jerkiness.
I am thinking I could switch to manual 1st gear to move up to my garage but don't know if it makes any sense haha.

yes sir! You can. Look up MB DCT trans reset on YouTube. It works on all late 2010 up models.
once you reset. Don’t romp on the throttle or it’ll re-adapt to the same style.
