Anti-theft alarm system Malfunction - message on screen
Has anyone else had this message on the screen? "Anti-theft alarm system Malfunction". It keeps flashing up and disappearing.
This is on a GLB 200, only 2 months old.

Probably means what it says. On a 2 month old car that’s a trip back to the dealer for diagnosis.
I just noticed your front collision warning seems to be off. Unless you turned it off or you are parked close to another car or barrier, the front radar detector may be obstrcted or very dirty.

Vehicle Unlocked message
Now after the fault has been fixed it sorted another issue out as well. For a long time every time I opened the car- with the fob or keyless handle, I was getting the message "vehicle unlocked" in Mercedes Me app on my phone straight away which was a bit annoying as we got two A class regostered and my wife was getting it too on her phone no matter what time day and night. It looks like the super early message was due to the same fault. My other A class doesn't send this message that early- rather after a few minutes.

I know the thread is last years, but the fault appeared on my A250e today. In case this happens to anyone else searching for this error.
Collision detection and interior alarm sensors inoperable.
I tried everything - battery change in fob, setting and resetting car alarm. Using spare fob.....
What eventually worked, which when searching online, this was never mentioned. I just cleaned the interior sensors in headlining, and the fault disappeared and alarm would now set as all active.
Hope this helps someone in the future.

In a desperte move, i removed the lid over the roof console, just where the anti theft sensors are located. I blow hard using a comoressed air can and the issue dissapears since this.
Maybe some dirt goes into there.

The malfunctioning message just comes and goes and no other solution like changing the remote battery is helping.
Looks like I will have to take the car to the dealership. Very much upset with such a poor reliability.
