Tire air pressure

Hey folks - Have a GLB250 with 19" rims. What air pressure are you filling in your tires? Get this, on my door jamb there's two separate stickers giving the tire pressure and one in the gas tank flappy thing. Gas flap says 34 PSI for normal, 43 PSI for max. Stickers in the door jamb say 43 for cold but doesn't specify if normal or max load.

My car is never loaded up...but should get better mileage at 43. What are folks doing here?

Use the tire pressure from the gas fuel door:

When I got my 2023 GLB250 this past winter the tires were set to 42 PSI on all four. Road very harsh so I set them to 38 front and 34 rear which made a large improvement in ride.

Hi,
live done 23k miles in mine at 40psi all round on Pirelli’s. Good fuel eco and comfy ride. Tyres still have good tread so happy at that.
annoying you can’t change the kilopascal reading in the car but I suppose it gives a good indication of pressure loss? Me app gives it in psi or bar so you can always check. I like the pressure feature

I have the 19" wheels. I just filled mine to 37 and 34.

I leave all of my 19" front and rear at 33PSI. The ride is too firm for my liking at anything above. I have kept this PSI since new and have 20K. No abnormal wear on the tires. Maybe 1 mpg difference but IMO that is insignificant and worth the sacrifice for a noticeable softer & more comfortable ride.

I was looking into this now I switched to 19" wheels with non RF 255/45R19 Michelin PS A/S 4. GLB35 requires 35/33 for 19" wheels. Tire installation was done in evening, so tire air pressure was even lower at 34/32 in the morning. It is much more comfortable and a little floaty compared to higher psi. I was leaving 20" winter wheels at 38/36 following GLB250 recommendation rather than GLB35 after 21" OEM wheels had road rash at manholes when the dealer dropped its air pressure below recommended 39/35 psi.

Here is GLB35 recommended tire pressure, 19" has 235/50R19 (RF) and 20/21" are 255/40R20 & 255/35R21 (non RF):

vs GLB250 with same psi for all wheel sizes at min load:

In comparison GLK350 with similar size wheels and rear wheel bias (with more weight in rear) has 35/38psi min recommended on the fuel cap.

To confuse more, S580 (heavier vehicle) tire pressure post attached below has lower air pressure with same size tires as GLB35:

and S450 from HK in same post has even lower psi:

Also there is a long post about blown tires with S forum esp with 21" wheels. So the road conditions might prevail the psi that might not damage your wheels. It is not an exact number esp with 1psi pressure change for every 10F temp change... Caulk test is a good test for optimum pressure.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I'm going to go with 38 front, 34 back. Seems like the way to go.
