Production to Delivery?
I received an email the other day that my order is starting production - finally! (I ordered late Nov.) Sooooo..... typically, how long is the wait for delivery once the car enters production? I'm on the east coast (Florida).. and can't wait to get my new GLC!!

Yes, you have a bit of wait. But do what I did. Text your salesguy and ask for NetStar Codes for your car. Then just refer to the list I posted and you'll know what stage your GLC is. It's either that, or just wait for them to call and tell you it's here. I had to know myself, so I drove my salesguy batty asking for current status. .. NetStar let's them see where any car is in the exact stage they are in.

2016 GLC 300 4MATIC (previously 2004 CLK CAB)
Once your car ships from Germany you can ask your Sales person for the name of the ship that it is on and then track the ship on vesselfinder.com. Then you can track where the ship is going and the ETA for arriving at your port. It was pretty cool to watch.

Dieseldoc, my GLC is in queue and I am very interested to see how your order moves through its cycle. If you have time, please post your build codes as your GLC moves along. Thanks.

Yeah, they said they'd try to find one already production slated and modify it but since I did a nearly full load out, it probably wasn't possible. That's fine, my current lease isn't up until March so good timing.

I think all of us are the victim of the dealer picking a car that was already allocated to them and was reconfigured to our specs and the factory being able to build it the way we want it. My dealer tried an earlier build for me but could not get me the build I wanted. I wanted the lighting package. It was not available on an earlier build.

When my order was accepted by MB the salesperson advised me delivery would be approximately early March. He allowed the lengthy period between order and delivery was attributable to nonavailability of led headlights. I immediately began to loudly whine.
The beginning of the following week I spoke to the person whose job it was to order all cars for the dealership. As a result he told me as soon as the led lights became available he would select a car ordered for stock and revise the dealer specs to mine. And it looks as though it's working.

How are you seeing your build code progress - is the sales rep sending updates or is there somewhere you can monitor it online?
