Question Rear weels camber

I`ve noticed the the rear weels have negative camber (4 degrees aprox) I´m not confortable with that, so i was wandering if it comes from factory? can it be adjusted to 0 degress?

Does seem like a lot of camber.

I'd ask the dealer alignment tech what the manual specifies.

Better yet take the vehicle in and have it checked.

I just looked at my vehicle and could not discern any negative camber.

Excuse my ignorance..... but, is negative camber when the wheels (when looked at from behind) look like they are carrying a lot of weight and are splayed out at the bottom?

4 degrees of negative camber would be quite visually noticeable and would chew up the inside edge of the tyres at an alarming rate. It is a setting you expect to see on a track car not on a road car.

There is no visually discernible negative camber on the rear of my GLC while there is a small amount of visually discernible negative camber on the front.

Agree. As Penn posted above, four degrees is a LOT, easy to see, and in no time would rapidly wear out the inside part of the tire tread.

On my other car, which I track, am running two and a half degrees of negative camber. And this setting is too much for purely street driving causing premature wear on the inner part of the tire tread.

Seems to me it would be wise to have your M-B dealer examine your rear suspension to see what's going on.

Negative camber is when the wheel and tire is tipped in at the top, toward the vehicle centerline.

Common practice on race cars in order to maintain tire patch in turns and combat understeer.

There is some negative camber from the factory but its no where near 4 degrees. It can probably get completely dialed out at a alignment shop at the expense of high speed stability.
