Uses for Me Connect?

I was wondering if any of you are actively using the Me Connect services and App and has the current functionality served any interesting day to day application.

The only interesting one I have thought about, but never really used yet... is if I am supposed to meet somebody at the car and I have not arrived yet... I could let them in remotely....

Keep a spare key in the car and if you ever lose your key when away from home you unlock and you're good to go again!

This wouldn't work for me... I have handsfree access and you cannot lock the car with an active key in it... well maybe on a second thought... if I shield the spare key this might work.... excellent Idea!!!

I have keyless access and go also. Key can be disabled easily .

Edit: Can't remember exactly how to disable key but involved pressing buttons in a particular sequence etc.

I'm sure some will say it's crazy keeping a spare key in the car!!!!

There are plenty of places to hide a key in the car. I think it is a great idea, I do a lot of outdoor activities and long trips. Everytime I leave home I always wonder what would happen if I loose the key 600 miles away from home.

Maybe another option is to take the battery out...

Last time I lost my keys was windsurfing on a remote beach on the west coast of Ireland! ! Next time I'll have it covered👍.

No need to take battery out. Will confirm how I disabled it and get back to you.

Jajajajajajajajaja

Last time I almost screwed up my key, was windsurfing in Rosas last summer (north of Barcelona) as I had my key in my pocket and it got wet... but the key opened the door and the car started up... I was amazed.

Last time I lost my key was windsurfing in Pozo (Gran Canaria), where I lived for 9 years.....

Would I go out of my way to buy it? No I wouldn't. But as it came with the car I do use it. I do like being able to check the fuel level as my wife has a habit of leaving it on fumes just when I take it for a long journey. I do check the tyre pressures through it as well. I don't use anything else but that to set the satnav. Location reminders as well. Oh and it is brilliant to check whether your garage is actually working on your car

So yes it is subtle but I seem to use it all the time.
