Yeah, I wonder if that is a factory-order-only item? I don't see why it would be, but I've heard of such nonsense before. (I.e. NOT dealer-installed)

Browsing the dealer order guide unfortunately it looks like it is a factory option and not even a port installed option. Maybe it has to do with the different trunk liner they use?

it may have to do with rear collision specifications. With a spare you get the strength (absorption) of he tire and rim. Without they may have to change the metal stamping profile to achieve similar results, thus a non dealer install.

thanks Daniel, several numbers are usually stamped on the rim, kind of hard to see, but under the light you can see it. They can be on either side.
This will be extremely helpful for those of us who want to order them.

Huge thanks to Saber for researching this. I ordered a space saver spare and jack kit with compressor from a 2015 GLK350. Fits perfectly under the floor of our 2016 GLC300 4M as shown above.
It came from ”okautopartsms” on eBay. I contacted them directly and they listed it for me. $320 shipped with tax

I think the factory one will become available in the future once more 2020 GLCs are on the street. We just have to check in with dealers from time to time.

Good Morning guys,,,,
After calling several salvage yards in my area... there are no 18 inch MB spares available. I have a 2019 GLC 300 suv 4matic base model ( not the sport ) with stock 18inch run flats , several of you purchased the ML350 spare A1644000002 18inch compact spare..
May I ask for those who did on their 2019 GLC 300 suv to verify please that tire size and part number , does it fit under the cargo lid , what version of MB jack did you buy? they're are several kinds some are scissors type with a flat pad or pad with a center pin
and then there's the one that lifts up on an 45 degree angle with a white plastic lift adapter... and now to the lug bolts..... the ML350 are M12 x 1.5 but the GLC300 are M14 thread..
anyway Before I purchase a NON returnable tire from Ebay I would like to verify the fitment

Mine is a 2017 with 18" tires, but the info below might be useful:
-the A1644000002 fits under the cargo lid
-if you can't find that part number, try searching using interchange p/n 560-85015 (this sometimes returns more results - it appears to be the number commonly used by salvage yards for this spare)
-I bought the 166-580-69-00 Vehicle Tool Kit from MB online - includes the jack. You may see that the product page pictures two styles of jack - I received the scissors type.
-and 5 of these: 000-990-83-07 Wheel Bolt to fit with the spare
-the A1644000002 fits under the cargo lid

Well I purchased a MB pare tire(ML350 series) A1644000002 and a Jack tool kit from MB they are both shipped.. once I get them, I'll update on fitment... ( i hope it fist like the others have said)
Now I need 5 short lug bolts..... but I'm confused on size.. ML350 specs called for M12-1.5 but the my 2019 GLC 300 says lug bolts are M14. M14-1.5 size are hard to find.. ???

UPDATE:
sorry for the late update and not able to post pics but.. I can confirm that the retro fit spare tire parts I purchase DOES indeed fit my 2019 GLC 300 BASE suv with stock 235/60/18 tires..
1. compact spare A1644000002 155/80/18 fits below the cargo hatch and latches , no interference with front or rear rotors.. the short steel spare M14 1.5 23 mm lugs bolts fit they do not go threw the rotors to interfere with parking brakes..
2. OEM scissors jack worked find on solid concrete surface I did add (2) 2x4 1 foot pieces to my kit for soft surface conditions...
Thank you to all that have researched and passed along this data I plan on keeping the GLC for as long as I can.. as soon as the Run Flats crap out i'm off to Costco to get conventional tires in the future...

My apologies it is indeed T155/90/18 I think the A1644000002 might actually be the steel rim part number but it still leads to the over all spare tire on google search.
Look locally at salvage yards that have ML350's your save a little I got mine off of Ebay free shipping $105.00 unused off a 2015 ML350 Take your time in searching.,, make sure you get the actual tire pictures before you buy it verify it's condition.

I assume you're driving GLC300 SUV mine is 2019 It will fit... I turned my upside down inner wheel facing up, slide it under the metal tab in the middle back of cargo area. the lid will close flat I had to push down with hand palm with some pressure.. the latch sometimes catches and sometimes don't but the lid fits flush as it should my tire doesn't bounce around or knocks up the lid.. but I'm driving off road on bumpy roads.. you should be fine clean it up good wipe it down with some UV spray ( 303 areospace) toss a pair of gloves in with your jack tool kit..
+ MB jack and some other tools.
