GLC 300 Tire Rotation
Thanks !
Have rotated my Bridgestone Duellers H/P 's at:
9,800 Km (6,090miles) - Front to back
20,700 Km (12,860 miles - crosswise (left to right and front to back)
The first 10,000 Km indicated higher tread wear on both front outside edges, and a little less wear in the middle ...was running the placarded 32psi, but since 9,000 km mark have been running 36psi. Tread wear now appears reasonably even across the tread.
My last reading at 25,000 shows approx. average of 4.1mm tread depth remaining.
If experiencing higher tread wear on the outside edges, my suggestion would be to look at pressure first, then possible get a wheel alignment. ...and also rotate at regular intervals.
From my readings in this and other forums, it appears to me that the 'out of factory' wheel alignment has varied over time, and per vehicle. (some ..more aggressive than others)
If you have the Coupe style or the AMG43 vehicles, your options are more limited due to the staggered size of wheels fitted.
Phil.

I used to do that with my other cars, but I approached my MB dealer and had a senior mechanic or technical advisor print up the tyre rotation set up based on my VIN.
It was front to back, not Criss,Cross.
When I asked why I only received a generalist comment that I should follow the print out for my Veh, based on VIN data.
I do run my tyres around 36psi cold, or 38psi when I drive to a garage to check.
This and a wheel align has stopped outer edge wear, espacially on my left front tyre, remembering my car is RHD in Australia.
Hope this helps.
Suggest you try and have your service rep print out tyre rotation data based on your cars VIN.
If you have staggered setup (bigger back than front) you can only rotate side to side and only if they are bidirectional. (check sidewall)
If the tires are same size but one directional then only front to back.
If the tires are the same size but bidirectional then criss-cross.
Simple rule of thumb - figure out which way your tires are capable of spinning. Then maximize the differential of rotation and position by making it as different as possible when rotating.

I have had the ‘A’ and ‘B’ service as instructed. At the B I am told my front tires are bald. Needed 2 new Pirelli and an alignment. I asked about rotation and was told that’s not part of the A or B service. First - why not. And 2nd - shouldn’t the dealer mention ? I had a Lexus and the recommended services always included tire rotation and oil change. I said 20k bald seems low. But if I buy the Service Plan for thousands it’s included. Doesn’t Mercedes have a recommended checklist for service ?
They were much better. My recommendation to anyone buying or leasing a Mercedes is to stay away from Pirellis.
To your point however, they should rotate the tires IMO as part of any service. I do mine every 5000.

Dealer will rotate, and charge you if you insist when delivering Veh for service.
You can have tyre rotation and wheel align done anywhere and you will not void your warranty.
If you want have Dealer do this and insist on printed copy of wheel align before and after settings.
That way you have a copy of settings for your Veh and Costco or any good tyre place can copy data to set your system back to factory settings.
