GLC 300
Radio presets

I have a 2018 GLC 300. The presets for the SirusXM radios keep disappearing. This happens at undetermined intervals including two weeks to two months. The dealer originally blamed SiruxXM. I have a SirusXM radio at home also. I listed some of the same frequencies and they do not change or disappear. The dealer does not have an answer. I am wondering if anyone has an answer that I could relay to the dealer. Thanks in advance. Paul

A gaggle of MB's
1 - temp solution - use a USB stick and export your settings to the USB under console "settings/system" menu - if you lose again - you can restore.

Did your dealer do anything ? Is there a Service Ticket ? A bare minimum they should have reprammed your Audio 20 or COMAND...

Call MB Customer Care with that Service Ticket - (800) 367-6372 - best if morning for shortest wait time - give them that info - tell Customer Care want to get this issue resolved with the dealer - Customer Care will send alert to dealer service management.. you will get it resolved..

This has happened to my wife's 2018 GLC at least 3 or 4 times. She hasn't hit 10,000 miles yet, so we'll ask them to look at it when we hit the first service interval.

As a followup… After repeatedly trying to reprogram the COMMAND module MB told them to replace the entire module. We will see if this solves the problem.

2009 ML350 and 2018 GLC
My 2018 GLC has also lost its pre sets a number of times. SirusXM radio has done a number of channel updates and every time they do it I lose my presets. I don’t know if that is the only answer but I never lose my AM or FM pre sets.

Although I don't have the same problem I can't seem to find a way to get all my SiriusXM channels on my car. I have a 2016 S550 and love the car but I can't seem to get all SiriusXM channels...I get a lot of them but can't seem to find a way to add new ones. As an example my other cars have way more channels on them but I seem limited to what I can get on the S550. I found a couple new channels that I liked on my wife's new BMW and went to look for them on my car and there was no way to get to them. They are Covers ( a really good channel I think is around 302) and Road Trip which I like. I don't understand why they aren't available to me...I called the local MB dealership and they seemed dumbfounded. If anyone has an idea how to open up my S550 SiriusXM channels I would appreciate the advice. Thanks.

I did and just found out the answer. Not all cars have the SiriusXM radio capabilities and therefore can't get the newest channels. My 2016 S550 doesn't have the correct radio thus I am not able to receive all that Sirius has to offer. My advice would be to make sure your new car purchase is compatible with SiriusXM or you will not get every channel they offer.

We have been losing our Sirius XM preset channels since we got our GLC300 beginning of 2018. The dealer reported the issue to MB engineering and supposedly they are looking for a fix. MB Customer Service told me this: “the functionality of the vehicle's Mercedes Benz Command center is functioning as designed.” How disrespectful!

My 2019 has less than 5kmi and my Sirius presets vanished multiple times. I just gave up on the idea as I tired of reprogramming them. Highly annoying to say the least. My 2016 Audi never gave me this problem, so not sure I believe it's an outdated equipment issue.

Definitely a programming problem, probably triggered by channel updates pushed out periodically by Sirius. Mercedes needs to get this fixed. I'd suggest making a complaint to your service department - they probably won't do anything, but at least it's one more ticket Mercedes sees.

This is now a known Mercedes problem. Not SirusXM. Mercedes has acknowledged the problem. Mercedes says they will have a fix in the THIRD QUARTER. Unfortunately they do not say the third quarter of what year.
