Transmission Service Interval

I have a 2018 GLC 300 4Matic with the 9G-Tronic transmission. I inquired about the cost of the 40k transmission service (drain and fill fluid) at my local dealer and was told that the service interval for the transmission fluid is now 60k miles. I was informed that the differential fluid should be changed at 40k for $199 but the 60k transmission service is $1200. Did the service interval for the transmission actually increase to 60k miles?

I asked the MBUSA to provide maintenance schedule, they told me to ask dealer.
Maintenance schedule booklet was discontinued starting 2017.
I downloaded 2016 GLC schedule and according to it trany and diffs must be serviced
Every 60,000 miles/6 years
Automatic transmission: oil and oil filter change
Transfer case: oil change

Attached says transmission service at 60,000 miles for engine 274.

I don't see any mention of differential or transfer case for the 274 but have read here that 40,000 miles is the interval.

$1200 for transmission service on a 4Matic sounds pretty steep to me. I already had it done once - they quoted, and charged me $425 but that was before they realized there was a difference between the 4Matic and RWD service. I won't be so lucky next time. It should have been around $770 for a 4Matic, but that was in Miami. I'd definitely shop around dealers in your area.

I also asked my dealer here about the differential. They did some research and basically said not to worry about it.

I just had me w213 done, and got a quote for the wife's 2019 glc300 4matic. 60k mile interval on the trans, not required on the diff but I plan to do them at 30k anyways for good measure. Rear diff was $229.44, front was $76.01, transmission service (includes transfer case) was $587.33 - this quote was from MB of Hilton Head in South Carolina.

I had my w213 E300 4Matic done a couple weeks ago- Front diff $76.01, Rear diff $71.73, trans + transfer case $599.10 (they undercharged me 5 quarts of ATF, so figure that would bump the cost up about $100 or so which they absorbed). Paid just under $750 for all 3.

Hi,

Do you have the list of parts that they used? I have really terrible dealer here so I'm planning to change the transmission oils with my mechanic.

Thank you,
Alexei

transfer case built into the trans

heres my receipt for the w213 with the same trans. You can confirm the parts on your own model as far as compatibility. They quoted me 6 quarts but it was 11 , that was the additional 5 added. I had the diffs serviced too.

They changed you for 10 new screws? wonder what was wrong with the originals... well you did get 5 qt of AT fluid for NC seems reasonable for that service..... not sure what my Stealership would charge I'm way off for diff and AT service... only have 10k on mine ..

they honored the written estimate I was emailed and didn’t charge me for the extra quarts. They have since fixed that in their system - can see it when going online to schedule service.

my car had under 30k when I did it - 23k roughly. Didn’t know the driving habits of the previous owner while buying cpo so I changed the drivetrain fluids to give myself peace of mind.

The screws are 1 time use just like on the 7 speed transmission before.

Oh..... slowly learning the service requirements on these.. I did my own oil /filter change the other day.. pretty simple. I opted to drop the skid shield , conventional oil drain like I said I'm way off for any major maintenance service...
